Maybe the rink isnt as long in Tikkurila and the blue lines have to be always the same amount of meters from the end boards?

Very entertaining game, especially considering it was the first of the season.

Pretty serious, overrated by whom?

Why not? He definitely has enough talent for that, what he really lacks is size, and still despite it he played very well at 19 against men, getting decent points in limited time on the worst team in the league. Who cares about what he has shown at junior level when he's a full time KHL player already?
I'm not saying he'll be as good as Radulov, but I definitely wouldn't rule out his NT future at 20.

yeah, i too think there's too much baseless hype for him on these board. a couple of flash plays at the wjc against subpar opponents and he's a star in the making. sorry, not so fast. i doubt he'll make the nt any time soon, but frankly, the quantity of players to choose from is pretty small. i mean freaking glinkin almost made the wc team last year.

I think the hype started building after his flashy plays against not so sub-par opponents in the KHL the season before, as a 18-year old. Which is pretty impressive and not all that "baseless".

NT, obviously, is a huge stretch at this point but overall kid can indeed become a star at the KHL level sooner or later.

I haven't seen a lot of hype for Damir and I can't see anybody saying "Ohhh, Znarok, where tf is Zhafyarov, he's a World Championship lock!" here.
Also, my personal sympathy for him is based on those many Kuznya games.

All four Riga goals were scored from rebounds, couldn't say Bespalov looked good. He was emotional as **** as well. Hit like three Riga guys near the crease with his stick, starting some minor scraps.

And sadly the video doesn't include Saulietis winning the fight vs. Maxim Ignatovich, whose like 20cm taller than Saulietis.

OT win for Karlovy Vary vs Medvescak. With the fact that last third n OT was Tomljenovic on goal. 21 NT goalie. Mind u he seams better than Brust n Dex fr now. Two games two thirds and one OT played, and receaved only 1 powerplay 3 on 4 goal. He is playing just wow ever since NT games

Is it possible he was good only because his playing time was in the last period when teams "slow down" in friendly matches? As far as i know there was no live stream...

Supposedly in d last game things actually picked in d second period n went to OP. in game before that its possible but if u see that Dex received a goal in d last third v Slavia u still got to tip ur hat to him. I doubt that things slowed down that much that any second rate young goalie would get 100% regular time saves after other goalies had been to a point brutally shot through. Plus he was good in a tight game. I cant find stats anywhere though. But he is getting much more ice time than i would have thought.

Today- yes, 5+ years ago- no. I kind of feel bad for that team (even if they're rivals), they have no adequate long term competition in Extraliga these days since Slovan left and Zvolen with Dukla Trenčín have maybe 30% of their old budgets (max). The Americans from US Steel (main sponsor) just downsized everything because they won't allow the team to go to the KHL...

Does US steel completely own them?
