As for Holik, one word: SLOW

This is not the NHL of the 90s where we had clutching and grabbing...Holik is not meant for the new NHL.
WHether Tkachuck is a true center or not, he has played quite enough of it...And played it quite well this year, including taking FOs....And of course they are different players..I really questionb whether nylanders style will be effective in the POs, but I hope it will be...OTOH, Tkachuck is the type of player that can (not saying will) be very, very important in the POs becasue of his size, strength and talent.....Yeah there will be speed, but in last years POs and at the end of this year, the banging and crease crashing increased big time..I expect more of the same in the POs..And why even Holikstein and his big body can give the Rangers problems...We have to keep the puck out of our end.....JMO

Nylander has done rather well in the playoffs except for last season.

Also, who said we cant handle physical play? Sure we can!

I live In New York and wished a guy wearing a Rangers jersey good luck. So I extend this sentiment to your fan base.

Dupuis is on the 3rd line, not Vigier.

very good stuff...I actually also looked at that Goals Against differential as the key...as well as Lundqvist outplaying Lehtonen.

The 3rd line being strong for us is a great point. Their bottom 2 lines are very weak indeed.

Don't get too tied up on who is on what line, Hartley juggles them all quite a bit during games. The only one you can count on for sure is Kozlov-Belanger-Hossa. Sim and Mellanby will likely split time with Kovalchuk and Tkachuk.

Why the Goals Against differential is meaningless.
The fact that the Thrashers let in lots of short handed goals before the trade deadline isn't going to help your team tomorrow.

Guess which PK is on the roster now?

in their final 20 games the Thrashers played the Bruins, Panthers, Flyers and Capitals 8 times.

That's not the issue. The players on the PK were different. Belanger, Dupuis and Zhitnik are all on the PK. They weren't on the team when they let in the goals against that you think give your team an edge. It's that simple. The Thrashers got 20% new team at the deadline, and the biggest overhaul was the PK, which had been letting in a goal in every game!!

The PK the Rangers will see tomw wasn't even on the team when those crappy stats were accumulated. How did the Rangers PP do on March 16 against the new Thrashers PK?

No shanahan, no hossa, thats 33% of our forward line.

33%>20%, we win.
