Geez, the one thing Canada does well is hockey and they lost the feed! (In OT no less!) At lleast we are getting the FSN feed now.

Remember, Nashville has no fan and the arena is completly dead game in and game out.

So glad TSN is showing that across Canada to shut up Nashville haters.

In your face!!

gotta love nashville fan and the noise in the arena!

keep it up

Timonen has been brutal all night. Just brutal. How can you put yourself in that position in OT?

What a disappointing finish to a great game.

Even in the face of some AWFUL calls against us, I think we very nearly dominated long stretches of that game...sucks to lose it like that.

Oh well. Play that way for the rest of the series, and we'll turn it around. Hard to feel TOO bad after such an exciting, well played game. Nabokov was simply too good in OT.

It's just one game. We dominated the play throughout overtime, hopefully we can carry that into Game 2 and get on the right foot. We won game 1 last season and promptly lost the next 4. Here's to making that happen to the Sharks this time around!

Just wanted to say again - Radulov was awesome tonight. I was so nervous every time he got the puck in overtime even when he didn't have that much ice to work with, he was that dangerous.

Nashville and Team Russia (imagine all that Russian offensive firepower in Vancouver in 2010 ) are very lucky squads to have him in the fold

regardless of the outcome, that was an awesome game on the whole.

I can't wait for game 2.

did the crowd sound as jacked as it was in the arena? I could hardly hear the announcements, and left with a pounding headache.

What kind of player is Hartnell? It's his 2nd misconduct in 3 games. Is what he did to Cheechoo normal.

How was Vokoun? I don't remember him winning any big games in his carieer. I had Mason in my fantasyteam as long as Vokoun was hurt and he played fantastic during that period. But anyway...good luck for the second home game and hope you beat the Sharks.

Edit...I forgot the 2005 world championships.

But nice to hear he stood on his head and made some solid saves.

Vokoun was better than the line indicates. He saved the game a few times, especially with some of the breakdowns we had. Only the Grier goal was truly stoppable, IMO.

Tough to see us lose after dominating the final 50 minutes of the game...........but Zidlicky was stuck in a tough spot, and his bad positioning cost us.

The officials really had it in for us in the first two periods.........the Hartnell call, Nichol call, and Tootoo call were all equally bad, but we overcame ALL of the calls to tie it up. Hand it to Nabokov for stealing the win in OT because we were all over the Sharks in the OT.

Vokoun stood on his head in the first period. He kept the Preds in it in the early stages of the game.

I don't think you guys are harshing on Vokoun enough. While he did give up only one "weak" goal, the Grier goal, in the playoffs, a great goalie (which Vokoun is) needs to step up his game. Goals like the Milan Michalek on and the Rissmiller one could have been stopped. A Vokoun playing at the top of his game IMO makes those saves.

Also, the Hartnell knee was not a horrible-horrible call. Look at the screenshots from TSN, it shows that Hartnell led with his knee and elbow. I doubt there was any intent to injure, but Hartnell should have lined Cheechoo up properly before hitting him.
