FOX Announces TV Schedule

Link:

FOX Sports Florida and Sunrise Sports & Entertainment jointly announced today the Florida Panthers’ 2014-15 NHL regular season television broadcast schedule, featuring all 82 games broadcast on the network.

FOX Sports Florida will start the season on the road as the Panthers travel to Tampa Bay to take on the in-state rival Lightning. Coverage will start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 for viewers throughout South Florida. Panthers LIVE, FOX Sports Florida’s pregame show for home games, and extended postgame show for all home and road broadcasts, will provide viewers with an in-depth look at the team before they hit the ice versus their opponents. The home opener on Saturday, Oct. 11 vs. the New Jersey Devils will feature a special, one-hour edition of the Panthers LIVE pregame show.

Play-by-play announcer Steve “Goldie” Goldstein returns, alongside NHL Hall of Famer Denis Potvin as color analyst, to provide viewers with expert commentary throughout the season. Panthers LIVE host Drew Goldfarb will be joined by 14-year NHL veteran Bill Lindsay as color analyst during pregame, postgame and intermissions.

In anticipation of the start of the season, FOX Sports Florida will televise over 30 hours of Florida Panthers programming starting on Friday, Oct. 3. For six consecutive nights on the network, ‘Panthers Week’ will feature replays of six of the best games from last season, as well as the premiere of the “Inside the Panthers” preseason special.

I like that all 82 games will be televised, as well as this Panthers Week special.

Potvin's back. All 82 games are on TV. Now they just need to replace Goldstein and all will be right with the universe.

LOL..."replays of six of the best games from last season". I dont wanna see replays of that craptastic team...I want to forget about last season.

I'd rather see 6 nights of just highlights then from all 82 games of last season instead. Or better yet, a preview with the returning players with highlights & show some highlights of newcomers. Heck they could use up 4 nights by breaking it down by position (2 nights for forwards, 1 for defense and 1 for goalie). What is FSN doing over there that they cant think of simple things like this?

Agree. Im not sure there were even 6 good games.

Lots of new players. MSG does a great player thing where they do a half hour from the player's parents house and talk about how the kid grew up in hockey. wouldn't mind 6 of those.

The one game that automatically pops in my head is a game at home against toronto. I think it was during the end of the season if i remember correctly . We completely donminated that game and deserved the win ..... There is also one against montreal in montreal during our 4 win streak at the start of the season that was not bad at all ..... So 2 i guess haha

We had some good games last year.

The one vs. Detroit where we came back down 0-2 to win in the Shootout is one. Big Nick with the goal while Dats was on him.

I don't mind watching a few good games from last season. It's better then not having that to watch at all. I hope there will be like a 2hr season preview show though!

Well according to the above, they're doing a 1 hr Panthers Live before the opener and then they are doing a separate "Inside the Panthers” preseason special which those are usually 1 hr so I guess you'll get 2 hrs but just not at one time.

Dave Strader? I actually like Goldie, don't want to see him leave.

I like Goldie as well. I like that he has excitement in his voice (and on goal calls for both teams). I also like that he pronounces names correctly. I consider it unprofessional if you don't do homework before games and end up butchering people's names.

I hope this means all games that aren't vs Canadian teams, on Center Ice with Fox Sports Florida. I like Goldie. Especially compared to the TBL's and Bruins god awful announcers.
