Can Weber be prosecuted for killing a man with a slapper?

The chances of him actually killing someone with his shot is much, much, higher than it should be.

Involuntary manslaughter?

I guess he could be, but the odds of it sticking are probably slim to none.

It's highly unlikely.

Laws will depend on the state/province in which the incident takes place, but, assuming it's in TN, the only thing that they could charge him with potentially is reckless homicide. Even then, they would have to show some sort of recklessness (e.g. Weber was trying to buzz one by a guy's head to scare him, but ended up hitting him).

If he is blasting one during the course of the game, it hits someone and they die as a result, I don't see how he could be held criminally accountable. There would probably be a lawsuit, but even then it's doubtful anything happens.

Come now, Shea isn't Tony Stewart.

3rd Jersey

Do you think the blue 3rd jersey ever comes back into rotation? Or do you think we will ever see another 3rd jersey?

as I understand it the blue thirds are not coming back, and with the focus on establishing the "gold" brand here, I would be surprised if they came out with a third any time soon… maybe in three or four years when the Gold is fully established

They could come out with a third jersey that was still gold, just a different design/variant.

with the news on the new expansion teams, Im really scared about losing some key players. Mainly on defense.. 4 teams? This is gunna suck for every team.

The reason why I say defense is because we can protect either 3 or 5 depending on how many goalies we keep (1 or 2). I see us keeping just 1 goalie and holding on to our 5 d-man

as long as we can hold Weber, Josi, Jones, and Ekholm, we will be fine

Ellis though?

I mean he is the easiest to replace, but i think he could be a great OFD one day. I understand why he's the first to go but we could be starting a new way to play the game, if you think about. A defense that can score at will. Josi and Weber could be 15 goal scores, not to mention Jones and Ellis who could reach that. So four 15 goal scores, potentially, on the back end... No team can come close to touching that.

I don't know how much sleep I would lose if we lost Ekholm either.

Id much rather have Ekholm than Ellis. Without Ellis, we have 3 d-men that can put up a lot of points. However, we don't have a more of a stay at home defensemen, which Ekholm isn't exactly but is a lot closer to it than Ellis. Not to mention he is left handed.

Regardless, if Ellis or Ekholm aren't moved by the expansion draft, one of them will be going I think.

Derek Roy in some Preds gear at Gary Roberts camp, feels good to see. I don't know if I'm in the minority but Im really excited about the Derek Roy signing, I hoped we could snag him ever since he left Buffalo!

Stamkos and Downie are also pictured

Another source of media I'm going to post is this "all access" to HV71, Fiala is in it a lot. Its mostly in other European languages but theres some English. Check out the 6 minute mark on, thats where Fiala is.

Some strong language for those at work or something

Andreas Johansson is the head coach as well

Agreed that Ekholm is way more stay at home trendy than Ellis. And being lefty is a great asset. I just am spoiled by Weber/Josi I guess, because Ekholm just looks like a big step down in talent when he takes the ice.

I know right? I was about 15 minutes in, without realizing who that was. Thankfully they flashed his name. He seems like a pretty decent coach

No I am as well. If Roy has rededicated himself and is fully healthy, he is going to be an absolute steal for us this season.

With Mr. & Mrs. Fisher announcing they are expecting and him already out until November, you have to wonder if Fish finishes the season and calls it a career.

I think Carrie might have been helping him a bit too much with rehab...
