Ive watched game one and im watching game 2. What are the fans yelling after each goal and shark penalty? And are they saying 'Nabokov, Nabokov, Nabokov, you SUCK!
?
I assume you guys know.
Whatever goalie gets scored on, thats the name they use
Yeah I know.
Thanks a,lot guys. BTW that preds crowd is impressive as hell. Right before Dumont scored on the 2 on 1, the place was rocking because of the PK.
Good luck!
Amazing isn't it how much noise we can make in our "empty" arena. Guess it's cause of that plane load of Canadians that flew in for the cheap tickets and all you can eat and drink inclusive!
God I love playoff hockey!
After a goal there is some music last song being Rock and Roll part two (you know the "hey" song)
As that song ends the chanting starts:
We're gonna beat the hell outta you
It's true, It's true, It's what we're gonna do
After the goal is announced there is a growl played on the PA for every goal on the board. So for the fourth goal lastnight this is what you heard.
PA:Goal by JP Douuuuuumont,
Growl
Crowd: That's one
PA:Growl
Crowd: That's two
PA:Growl
Crowd: That's three
PA:Growl
Crowd: That's four, thank you Nabakov, may we have another, he shoots he scores you suck
Shortly after that the Goalies name chant starts:
Naaa-baaa-kov,,,Naaa-baaa-kov,,,Naaa-baaa-kov,,,you suck.
When the PA announces a penalty at the end they say SJ is on the powerplay to which the crowd responds "and they still suck".

How did a chant like that come about? Did a couple of folks in one section get it started and it went from there?
That is exactly the case. Section 303 is the ringleader of the shenanigans, there is a guy that has spent many hours getting the whole arena on the same page.
Yes, it is college-like, some like it and some think it's just childish but hey you can't say we don't get into the game.
Its was a great atmosphere last night! No doubt! I am glad other hockey fans are seeing that now. I am also happy that more people see all the crap the media put out about our city and our fanbase being weak is total crap! Hockey is here to stay in Nashville!
Ive always found the preds to have the best playoff crowds. In the season they are still good, but all the bandwagoners buy tickets in the playoffs(like in every city). The atmosphere during the pk on which dumont scored gave me chills.

That was the loudest I have ever heard a crowd at a sporting event given that the place just holds a little over 17K. It was perfect, the place was already jacked with killing of the major and then Dumont pots a huge goal.

Funny thing is I went to 20+ games in 02-03 season the place was 75% full and it was still rocking even when the team started 2-14 that year but WE HAVE ZERO FANS is what all the "experts" in Winnipeg say

That's harsh. Just curious, do you know where Winnipeg is?
I thought it was pretty funny during the announcment of the starting line-up after they announced the players names, everyone yelled "SUCKS"
I had a good time. to bad my team lost and it rained as we waited for our cab.
Why is it that when someone tells you to meet them at a numbred street, it is really the one before it. We had teh cab meet us at the chili's at 24th and broadway, and he respons with 23rd and broadway. And after the game we waited at that church at 7th and broadway, where he wanted us, but he was at 6th and broadway for like 10 minutes waiting for us?

Manitoba is good. And scratch this "expert" Winnipeger off your list, because I would bet that Winnipeg gets an expansion team before the Preds ever leave Nashville.
New Jersey doesn't even sell out their games for the playoff and yet Nashville is the town getting all the remarks about moving.
Sick and tired of this
And your in Quebec, right??? I'm glad to see how much of a fan you have become. It was great to read your posts last season with Radulov playing for the Remparts and I certainly commend your commitment to our team.
