The Jets defensive line is elite. The LBs, however, are pretty average across the board. They're better than the sum of the parts as Rex does a good job coaching them up.

I'm afraid that the Jets are going to get killed by short and intermediate routes. Our LBs suck in coverage, and those quicker routes mitigate the rush we generate from the line. It's made worse by the fact that Milliner is the only guy that looks like he can play any type of effective press coverage. It also keeps the play away from Pryor unless he's in the box.

Another solid man corner and a true rush LB would make this defense an absolute nightmare for opposing offenses.

Davis has looked very good in coverage, but other than that I agree. Coples never really drops back anyway, Harris is a dinosaur, and Pace/Babin/Barnes are what they are.

For next year, we need a CB, an ILB, and an OLB. At the LB positions, we need to get faster and more talented. The problem is if we want to get a true stud rush LB, we're going to have to either invest a 1st round pick, or pay someone like Orakpo a ton of money, which would make it difficult to get the other positions we so desperately need, namely WR and CB.

NYG flat out lack physicality.

The majority of the players have looked bad both physically & mentally this preseason.

The Giants luckbox streak of injured QBs last season pumped up that win total to 7 but they were worse than that. Gonna be a long year for big blue.

One of the most entertaining seasons I've watched as a fan were the 2006 Giants where they would have defensive team celebrations. It was fun and it looked as if they were playing together.
Yep. A completely unnecessary flexing of authority by Rodge and his cronies.

Texas A&M looks FANTASTIC. Wow. Zero drop-off after Manziel left.

Rutgers with a nice little win over a Pac-12 opponent in Washington St. Might be important when deciding which of the Power 5 conferences get the autobid to the NCAA Playoff.

Secondary looked awful, but Paul James ran like a beast tonight. 170 yards and 3 TDs.

Kyle Flood did a terrible job making adjustments. One big break was the difference for Rutgers tonight.

Hopefully can keep it going into Big 10 conference play, cause things could get ugly early for them.

Keep Choppin.

Is that the most unimpressive 5-0 in preseason of all-time?

Manziel and Evans and Jake Matthews.

The O-Line was fantastic. And Kenny Hill's numbers were just silly, especially on the road against SC.

I had A&M winning but not by this much. USC was the most overrated team in the country to me.

Not that he didn't deserve it but Papa and Banks certainly kept on reminding us about Hosley sucking.

Was very boring. Did they mention that Belichick went for it on fourth down because he was hoping to avoid overtime?

It was funny to read Harris is a dinosaur followed ironically with the names Pace and Babins. They must be fossils

No, the B1G just isn't very good. I'll take the PAC, SEC, and Big 12 over it any day.

Big 12 football is on par with Big Ten football. And the Big Ten is arguably the best conference in college basketball.

You're just being silly if you don't think it's one of the best conferences in all of college sports.

big 12 blows too. pac 12 and sec are on another level. then u have the other 3. id argue the acc is just a one team conf with a bunch of really mediocre teams behind fsu tho.

It's one of the best if you consider that there are 5 power conferences. Doesn't change the fact that ti's a solid step below the top three.

Could not possibly care less about college basketball, so that's completely meaningless to me.

No, Big 12 is easily up there with the PAC.

Pretty clearly goes:

SEC

PAC/Big 12 (depending on the year)

ACC/B1G (depending on the year)

Frankly, I think you're overstating FSU, too. The ACC is a one team league, but that one team seems to alternate fairly often.
