15 points 200 blocked shots 120hits per season, eating PK time.

What you see is what he is going to be. That said, he is a legitimate 4-6 guy depending on the team. He has surpassed Mark Eaton in my book because while he is blocking shots.........he isn't screening the goalie (something Eaton was prone to doing.) Ironically, he is also a lot more physical than Mark ever was.

He is smallish but he is a good dman, great at blocking shots, I dont see him ever really having an offensive impact but hes a good defensive minded defenseman...

He's going to be a 3rd pairing defensman with probably a rather short career in Nashville based on some of the defensive depth we have in the system. He is a reliable defender and PKer, but never going to dazzle offensively.

I was really hard on Zanon early on, but he has really taken a turn and turned out to be a welcome addition. He still makes mistakes, but he is one of our best PKers and is fantastic blocking shots.

I don't think you'll see him develop in to anything more however.

He's kind of become the new Skrastins. Skratch had poor footspeed and could get beat one on one pretty easily, as well...but his "warrior" behavior made up for it. Skratch never got recognized while he was here by fans of other teams...but going to a major market team changed all that. Eventually, Zanon will go to the Habs or Leafs, and a similar epiphany will occur.
