question for all of us upstate that have buffalo as the MSG priority. Because buffalo will be playing the islanders will those games be on fsny allowing for the ranger game to be on MSG? Because buffalo will not be on versus on thursday.

This schedule really blows!

The back to back games in New York is bad enough. I'm not sure who this favors, but tend to think it favors whoever wins game 3.

Game 7 the day after game 6 in a different city? Potential for 5 games in 7 days, with 3 flights in between??? These teams will be dragging by the end of the series, especially if there's any significant overtime involved.

This is the worst possible schedule ever. I can see one back to back nights in the same city, but not 2 back to back nights and one of them at the end of the series and going from NY to Atlanta. Like they want whoever gets out of this series to be in the worst possible shape Every other team has every other night or one back to back game in the same city, but not here, who came up with this crap

Look on the bright side, if we sweep we'll have a lot of time to rest. But seriously, the winner will have a couple days off before the next series starts. They'll be fine.

It's the playoffs. The word "tired" is no longer in the vernacular.

Got no idea but prepare for the worst case scenario. Somehow I have to think that with the way the regular season went the Sabres will have prioity in most areas upstate. Hate to say it but if that's the way it turns out I'd rather see the Fishsticks pull off a major upset.

All of us in upstate/Western NY will NOT see the Thursdays game anywhere b/c of the STOOPIT NHL blackout rules. That's not 100% confirmed, but it is 90% confirmed.

They all play to get to this point. You know the lockeroom speeches would be "You think the Leafs would play hard this period? or "Keep this up and you all can go golfing w/ your friends on the Habs, & Flyers."

I think the balance and youth of this squad now is going to help dramatically in the fatigue department. Shannny could really have an impact. His injury could've been the best thing for him... well us ( I hate to say it that way, not that I'm glad he was injured mind you.)

Well, those of us with TWC might be in luck...

Time Warner Gets Versus HD Rights

"Time Warner Gets Versus HD Rights
But a spokesman says it's up to each system to add it.
By Phillip Swann

Washington, D.C. (April 9, 2007) -- Time Warner Cable has obtained the rights to broadcast the Versus/Golf channel in High-Definition.

However, Mark Harrad, a Time Warner spokesman, says it's up to the individual Time Warner system whether to add the high-def channel.

Versus/Golf, which is owned by Comcast, carries National Hockey League games and some golf tournaments in HD. The network will broadcast NHL playoff games in high-def.

Harrad says he does not know which (if any) local Time Warner systems have added the HD channel.

"We do have the rights to carry Versus in HD," Harrad says. "I do not have information here regarding which divisions have added that to their line-up and which have not at this point in time. It's up to the divisions. Generally, we try to add as much HD programming as possible, but there has to be channels available on the appropriate tier and the channel line-ups differ from division to division."

With the NHL playoffs beginning this week, several Time Warner subscribers have contacted TVPredictions.com asking if the high-def Versus/Golf will be added."

Yes, but the key point is:

...it's up to the individual Time Warner system whether to add the high-def channel.

Basically there's no guarantee that we'll get it now, or ever.

Correct. The VS and NBC games are exclusives.
