That is some scary stuff. My thoughts and prayers go out to them who have been killed, and their families.

Sorry for the loss. More people need to be armed, then maybe someone would have capped this dumb psyhco before he was able to line people up and shoot them at will.

Horrible situation. It's hard to focus on anything else today.

May God be with everyone and their families involved in this tragedy.

Guys if you want to express remorse for those who lost their lives, great. This thread will not become a battle ground for the pro/anti-gun folk. It's just not the place to discuss the gun argument.

Exactly. This story isn't going away any time soon, but this happened hours ago, there are more important things to think about.

That's what I don't get. After 2 people are shot and killed on a college campus (or anywhere for that matter) wouldn't there be a high police presence afterwards? Why wouldn't the classes be cancelled or the university shut down? Or did they simply believe it was an isolated incident?

My heart goes out to the families. My mom is a guidance counselor, and is trying to make calls to make sure one of her favorite students there is alright.

Such bloodshed.

Yeeah this is really shocking and upsetting. Brings back memories of Columbine. Cant imagine being on that campus today. 31 dead, unbelievable.

Is this the worst shooting ever? It there any actual statistic over the amount of students killed? Columbine was the first, right?

Anyone who has gone to college knows what a safe haven a college campus is. To have that shattered and to the degree it was is awful.

Agreed. if you were a student at the time of Columbine, for some it shattered your innocence. the body count from this event is nearly 50% greater than Columbine. This really is depressing.

No, there was an incident at the University of Texas in the 1968.

And don't forget Kent State while we're talking earlier killings on a campus in this country
