*sighs* I'm just basically seeing what Bondra fetched, which was a second round pick and a mid-level prospect. Basically I'm not saying a good prospect or a good draft pick, most likely:
Jeff Jillson or Nick Boynton + Colton Orr (or Pavel Frolov) and a 6th-8th depending on how far the Bruins go...
Yeesh! I'm not asking the Bruins to give up Toivonen and Jillson and a 1st...
The other thing I didn't take into account is Francis is declining as a player and this will be the first time in his career he might not get more than 50 points...Are 50 point players the cheap nowadays?

I personally think just Boynton for one year of Francis is overpayment by quite a bit..
Hmmm then again, I think a 2nd, Vandemeer, and Frasier is overpayment for less than a year's service of Zhamnov and a 2nd and Laich is about right for Bondra, who could or could not leave the Senators. Francis, you cannot deny is one of the better leaders and was one of the better players in the NHL although he is declining he could help out.
The biggest thing is you have to take a mid ground to both trades.
the man in this avatar(<<<<) should never be seen in a bruins uni. i would throw a fit rivaled only by 2 year olds deprived of their wubby's. i know i should just let it go and get over it....but it just wouldnt seem right. i dont think it would take much to get francis, and it wouldnt suprise me if this happened....but havent old whaler fans been thru enough?
It would be the perfect way to end our year. The final kick while we are down. I'd send him to Boston for a 9th rounder if it kept him out of TO though.
