That is true, but I'm still hopelessly optimistic about this game. Guess we'll just have to see and wait

this is a key game in this series... a 3-0 lead will morally kill atlanta... a 2-1 series would re-energize the thrashers...

MUST WIN TONIGHT! GO RANGERS!

Going up 3-0 would be so sweet. This game can't start soon enough.

Go Rangers!

.

Losing with Kari in nets tonight will be more demoralizing than anything.

They will have tried Kari, then Moose then back to Kari and if they are still 3-0 then game 4 is very very winable, but could be a dangerous game for some of our skilled players as I can see that game deteriorating very fast.

Hope the Rangers come out guns blazing as an early 2-0 hole for Atlanta could be their undoing.

Dellapina had that

Karel Rachunek is close to returning but won't dress for either game in the Garden. Renney said that his times in monitored skating drills were good enough today. But with Thomas Pock having settled down a bit in Game 2, Renney sees no need to push Rachunek until Game 5, if one is necessary.
According to John,Renney is NOT changing the line-up

Quote:
Renney is not happy about leaving Ryan Hollweg, so much a mainstay of the lineup throughout the regular season, in street clothes for a third straight game. And it isn't as if Colton Orr has been a high-impact player so far. But Renney sees no need to mess with a formula that has worked beautifully so far -- especially with the Thrashers having shown late in Game 2 that exacting a few pounds of gratuitous flesh is not beneath them.

The last time the Rangers had back to back home games(in two nights)was the series against the Panthers in 1997.The Rangers came out flying in game 3 and quickly jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Then the Panthers took over the game and jumped ahead 3-2.The Rangers pulled the goalie and Luc Robitaille scoring in the final seconds to force OT.The Rangers won the game in OT when Esa Tikkanen's shot hit the camera in the net.At first, they thought the puck hit the crossbar and video review showed it the camera in the net.My seats are in section 402 and to the right there is a luxury box with a TV screen. We knew the puck was in after seeing the first replay

The next night was the Wayne Gretzky game when he torched the Panthers.Everyone saw that game during the lockout when MSG must have shown that game once a week

C Blair Betts skated in the optional practice in Westchester, said afterward that he was ready to go, and coach Tom Renney said he expected to deplay the same lineup for Game 3. Ryan Hollweg and Brad Isbister were the last two forwards off the ice, indicating that they'll be scratched again, although Renney said he would make a final decision after warmups.

Henrik Lundqvist, Jaromir Jagr, Brendan Shanahan, Michal Rozsival and several other vets didn't skate.

The Rangers will stay in Manhattan tonight and have another optional skate tomorrow morning at the Garden. it will be the first time they will have held such a session at MSG all year. "It might be a good time for a change like that," he said

The problem about Hollweg is that the more games we win against Atlanta, the more we need Orr in the lineup. Just look at the final face off in game 2. Final buzzer shenanigans are not beneath that team, especially with Boulton in there. I don't think we Hollywood until round 2, if we make it there.

I think the Ranger Fans have a bit of a chip on their shoulder going into this one.

A lot of the talk over the past two games away from the ice was how impressive the Thrashers fans were, the excitement in the building and the loudness.

Combined with the Rangers taking the first two games, their first playoff wins in 10 years and the momentum this team has built in the Garden over the last 2 months i think we'll see a VERY loud and VERY raucus arena tonight.

I wish I had a ticket but i have the next best thing - An HDTV and a surround sound system that i will have pumped up to a very high decibel level.

________

Rangers need to stay focused and continue to play their road game at home. They need not worry about impressing the home crowd. All it will take is a goal at any time to make the roof shake. Just keep it simple and tough like they have been and get pucks on net and good things will happen.

Its Game 3. At the Garden. Win It.

I think part of it is that we've heard all this talk of "Blue Land", and considering how the Rangers are the "Broadway Blueshirts" some people might be thinking, "Hey, who do these guys think they are stealing our color?" I love this team right now. They know the task at hand and haven't had to adjust their game plan even though ATL's been pounding them.
