As for the game, the Preds have a good shot if Radulov comes back like the player prior to the Bernier hit. But if the team comes out like they did in game 3 and not like they did in games 1 and 2, they're going down 3 games to 1.

This isn't Nashville's first must-win scenario. They had that in game 2 and ended up blowing the Sharks out of the water. They can definitely do it but I have the Sharks, a natural homer pick, behind a Pat Trick in triple OT 4 to 3. ^^

I would expect the following:

Hartnell - Arnott - Dumont
Fiddler - Forsberg - Radulov
Kariya - Legwand - Abid/Tootoo/Nichol
Smithson/Hordichuk - Nichol/Smithson - Tootoo/Abid

Was that clear enough?

I suspect that Hordichuk will not see any more ice time right now and if we cannot or choose not to dress a full compliment of 12 forwards...that we just might see the debut of Vitaly Vishnevski in a limited role...but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I'd expect our lines to look like this:

Kariya - Legwand - Tootoo
Abid - Arnott - Dumont
Hartnell - Forsberg - Radulov
Fiddler - Nichol - Smithson

Abid, Fiddler, Smithson, Tootoo... we're @#%@#^@

does it annoy the crap out of anyone else that tootoo keeps getting plugged in on the 1st line? He has no business playing with kariya and legwand.

any cahnce of something radical like putting zidlicky on forward and dressing vishnevski? assuming weber is good to go?

timonen-weber
suter-hamhuis
vish-zanon
?
i think zidlicky would be better on a scoring line than tootoo/abid/fiddler/nichol.

but im a flyers fan so i know im probably un educated about this team. but i want you guys to win! go foppa

Trotz actually tried Zidlicky on a forward line a couple of times there at the end of the season, but nothing ever came of it in terms of scoring threats. It was a very a limited role though.

A pairing of Vishnevski and Zanon would be too slow IMO, especially against the Sharks. If Vishnevski were to join the lineup in Zidlicky's place (which I don't think would happen) the pairings would be more like Timonen - Weber, Hamhuis - Zanon, Vishnevski - Suter.

The problem was that he tried it for all of half a period.

Erat Out, Abid In, Bettman Officiates...

The Predators have recalled Ramzi Abid from Milwaukee of the AHL to play tonight in place of injured winger Martin Erat. Erat left Game 3 early after a check from Mike Grier (goon! ) and was seen wearing a large brace on his leg after the game. He participated in the morning skate today, but left the ice early and declared himself out for this evening's contest believing that he could not help the team.

Also, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman will be in attendance tonight. We all remember last season when Bettman was at the game it was a very tightly called affair.

I'd rather Bettman not be there. I hate the "tightly called affairs."

Wait, if tonight's game is a tightly called affair, what was last game?

If the Sharks play like they did last game, I think the preds are in trouble even with Radulov. GO SHARKS
