I'll say this..

marc= safer play, more sure bet

Benoit= Higher upside, more risk

Not sure if this answers the question though.

Marc will be better. Of course, I have only seen Marc play but from what I have seen, he has a lot of potential. He's young but if molded correctly, he can become a great 3rd line or a good 2nd line. Just like any other young player, it's a roll of the dice.

Agreed - He will take longer but the waite will be worth it. He was very impressive with the Houston Aero's in the games I've seen of him this season. Raw but oozes talent and natural offensive instincts.

I heard Benoits offense was a bit disapointing this year.

MAP's rookie season : GP65 G15 A30 P45
Benoits : GP67 G19 A17 P36

I dont like to compare stats like this, especially since the Aeros had a bit of a poor season.

From someone who had watched Pouliot numerous times. He has the talent... oh he sure does but he has no heart. With no heart his talent remains untapped.

guessing by the avatar he was talking about Benoit.
Im gonna take Marc Antoine in this one. He is a safer pick, will be a contributing second line center in the NHL, imo something like Mathew Lombardi in Calgrary. Benoit is too overrated, and i would never have taken him that high in the draft.

I see Marc Pouliot developing into a very similar player to Shawn Horcoff - he'll never be a consistent point-per-game guy or anything but I think he has all the skills needed to be a very good 2nd line centreman in the league (including strength in the faceoff circle).

I have never been all that impressed by Benoit Pouliot but he certainly has a boatload of potential. Whether or not he ever lives up to his hype is up in the air - I'll take Marc Pouliot in this case simply because I'm more confident he'll reach his potential.

Marc. I've followed Benoit's play this year, and overall, he's been really disappointing. I agree completely with Alison on his lacking heart, he's oftentimes very lazy. Maybe he can pick it up next year, but after his effort this season I can't think too highly of his potential.
