It's depressing to know that because of his following\place with the fans, that realistically he's not going anywhere. I fully recognize his value...when he's allowed to play his game, but he's gotten to the point where he's a marked man by officials. If he breathes wrong, he'll get called for it...so his game is marginalized and he becomes a player with a skillset not near enough to make him an NHL player.
Yes, Tootoo does have a role with the Preds, the problem is he is not a skilled or smart enough player/'agitator' to fill that role. I watched quite a bit of the Ranger/Thrasher series. Hossa and Kovie got totally owned and thrown off their game. When you see a kid like Kovalchuk try to go after S. Avery and knock his block off - he is totally rattled and useless and off his game...I guess you can say you don't want Tootoo to be an Avery, but I think that is what he tries to do. The trouble is he does not have the game skillset that your high paid agitators like Avery or Barnaby have...now with the rep that will put him in the box each shift - he has turned into a liability for sure.

For a couple years, he was fine. He was perfect at drawing people off their game...but he's getting phantom calls at this point. If he makes a clean check...he gets called because of who he is. It has nothing to do with "smarts." The only smarts that enter into it...go back to things like the suckerpunch...incidents that drew the spotlight on to him.

The series isn't over yet, or were you celebrating when you were up 3-1 on Edmonton last year, too?

I still think we can win this series. We arguably should have won Game 1, and potentially game 4. If we put out the same effort as games 1, 2, and 4 (through the first 2 periods), we should win.......Hopefully, Erat plays, and maybe, just maybe, we can stick Sullivan in for a potential game 6.....

We were up 2-0 not 3-1. If I remember correctly, historically it's 30-35% more likely to come back from down 2-0 than down 3-1.

Even though we lost Games 1 and 4, I've felt we were only one lucky bounce away from winning. I'm certain we will take this series to Game 7, and I get the feeling Sully plays a part as well.

The only part Sullivan has been playing is a guy sitting around drinking Jack and Cokes while the rest of the team is a in tough playoff series. Probably wouldn't matter though, he tried to come back last year and it simply didn't work out.

I have my doubts about a guy magically being thrown into the lineup for an elimination playoff game after missing 20+ games and making some type of difference.

Sucks to see the playoff avatars have to go so early too, I really liked this years version and felt great to see them all over.

Now what to sport?
