Ex-Rangers in the playoffs

I'm watching the Stars/Nucks gm. And Lindros is playing in his 1st game. It's so sad to see how far he's fallen. A total perimeter player, really sad. I can still remeber when he was the absolute hands-down best player in the game for a season or two.

Any other ex-rangers having a good playoffs?

I'm sorry ,but HOLIK did much more yapping than playing ... so NO, to me, he did not have a great series. Maybe he was more noticeable than some of their other players...but he still ended up with ZERO goals and 1 lousy assist.

Matt Schneider is doing well. I cant believe we chose Malakahov instead of resigning Schneider.

Former Rangers: Schneider, Samuelsson (not ulf) LOL, Zubov, Lindros, Norstrom

Forgot about Scheids, Was it Sather that let him walk or did he deal him?

I can't kill Sather for choosing Malahkov over Schneider, Malahkov just came off a cup win w/ the Debbies, and if memory serves he played well for them.

Poti has 3 assists in 4 games and has an even plus minus.

Not saying they're having a good playoffs necessarily, but these guys made it:

Jason Ward and Tim Taylor on Tampa Bay, Poti, Simon & Dunham on the Islanders, Hall & Johnsson on Minnesota, Samuelsson and Schneider on Detroit already mentioned, Amonte on Calgary, Petrovicky on Pittsburgh, Josh Green on Vancouver, the guys on Dallas already noted, Zidlicky never played for us but was a Ranger property...too tired to think of any more.

Dom Moore played for the Wild as well. Nils Ekman played for the Pens too.

I can, Schneider wanted to play here and is from NY. Malakhov been suspended by the Habs and known as an underachiever. I guess Sather wanted the underachiever theme. This is the same dope that chose Ulanov and Karpa, ahh the great memories, im glad they are gone.

Zubov. Grrrr. It still pains me that we let him go so long ago and he's continued to have an amazing career. I root for him so hard, I want him to continue to play great, I just hate that he's not a Ranger.

Me too. I was an original Zubov fan, first saw him play for Binghamton and instantly loved the guy.

I'm amazed that Schneider has shown the longevity he has. I wasn't in favour of signing Malakhov over Schneider, but I wasn't exactly crying when he left, either. He and Detroit have done very well for each other.

I'm also still floored when I think of how we let go of Zubov.

actually now that you mention it...

something that got overlooked in the rout that was the series was that holik was not, i repeat NOT, on the ice for a single goal against prior to game 4.

he did his main job of playing solid defense. when he actually was on the ice against the jagr line that is.

Beat me to it...for a playoff sweep, for a non 4th line player to be at 0 (plus/minus), Holik did the basic tenants of his job.

During Hockeycentral on the Fan590 (Toronto), Kypreos and Millard thought that Lindros was a presence in last night's game and played well physically and driving to the net.
