Marty Skoula was one of the MVPs of this game, all that puck-poise certainly helped Dallas tonight

Good game by Dallas tonight...Turco was solid...didn't have to make a lot of tough saves.

Didn't notice Modano at all tonight....he was as invisible as the Avs offense has been the last three games.

Was the third goal an EN? I quit watching.

Skoula was the Stars rag-doll tonight.

Nah. It was a bang-bang goal with 6 seconds left on the 7 minute PP McAllister handed the Stars.

What did he do to rack up 7 minutes?

29 minutes in penalties on one play, not bad.

Thats McAllister for you. Thank God for Skoula, with the recent trade for Boughner, will that make Skoula the odd man out. Great win for the Stars to kick off an 8-game home stand.

At least somebody showed some emotion from the Colorado side. Get well soon Blake and Foote so Skoula can be on the bench where he belongs

What happened with McAllister was roughly like this (the details are hazy because I was kind of flipping channels at that point)...

Downey dropped his gloves to go with Worrell (who dropped his at the same time). McAllister then drops his gloves and tries to go with Downey, who ignores him and went to square up with Worrell.

Then, for whatever reason, McAllister goes over to Ott and throws a punch and knocks Ott down. Ott may have said something to Aebischer (because he looked ticked) but he wasn't looking to do anything with McAllister initially. Ott retalliated with a slash and wanted to go after the punch, but the linesman held him back.

I'd bet if McAllister left well enough alone, he might have just gotten out of it with either nothing or a delay of game for dropping the gloves.

McAllister went after Ott because Steve tried to slash him. I think part of his slash hit the official. I don't know if something happened before that that made Ott go after McAllister.

Like I said, my details were hazy, but that doesn't surprise me at all. Ott was just being a pest, I'd wager. For a rare occasion this season, a smart one.

That was a long, but unimpressive scrap if you ask me. But you have to give Downey credit once again. This is the 4th time he's fought the 6 inches taller Worrel since the start of pre-season.

How bout that "done", "over the hill" Pierre Turgeon.. Sneaky Pete proves to be a force this season playing his natural position.
