OFFICIAL: Rangers vs Buffalo, Round 2

Let's Go Rangers!

The Devils just took the Lightning out at TB and out of the series..

It's going to be Rangers v. Buffalo, Eastern Conference Semi-Finals..

Time to beat the Buffaslugs!!

I am very excited for this series as we gotta beat the best to get what we want, so might as well have it earlier on.. Ottawa was looking pretty dangerous too..

Also, since i am "upstate" i'm assured to see this game, even though i may have to deal with Rick Jeanrette (sp?)..

Let's Go Rangers!

i say rangers in 5 because we played them pretty good earlier in the season and we are a way better team now and buffalo has a lousy d and if we can slow down the offense they will be rendered useless

I think this one's gonna go seven games. Home ice advantage is gonna be huge for the sabres here. But I think we can do it. Let's go rangers!!

GL guys. As i stated on the sabres board I have a bad feeling about this series. I see the rangers taking it in 6 or 7 games. I think the goaltending will be the difference.

Rangers 6

I think they'll split in Buffalo. Win both at home, lose in Buffalo and Win in MSG.

Did anyone see Game 5 at Buffalo? the crowd didn't seem nearly as big as Montreal, Atlanta, etc.

I can't begin to predict who is going to win, but NYR has to gain at least a split in the first two games. If they do that, this thing will go either way in 6 or 7. If not, it's Buffalo in 5.

I don't see us winning this in any less than 6 or 7. Buffalo is just too good a team to do that

Either way, I'm dying to watch this series already. It couldn't come any faster right now

Yeah, I agree. Buffalo seems to be a pretty down to earth team with no extra pressure, and that could be a big disadvantage for us. There is a ton of pressure on a team like Ottawa, starting away against them is probably a advantage.

Though the risk of Buffalo jumping ahead 2-0 is a big reason for why I hold them as slight favorites. We are gooing to be a bit cold in game one, its possible that they might start rolling. If they get a lead in the series, and can feel confident against us they will be a ***** to play against.

At the same time, I defenitly think we got a shot too. Lundqvist could come up big. Jagr could wreck their D.

Buffalo sold out every home game this season and the playoff games as well. They don't have too many no show corporate seats either, so I think it might have been an illusion. I don't think Atlanta sold out either of their games against the Rangers.

I'm not going to make a prediction, for fear of a jinx, or a self-fulfilled prophecy.

Good Luck NYR!!

Are there a lot of Ranger fans up in Sabre country? Would be nice if we could have a strong presence in their building, being in New York and all.

Wednesday or Thursday will be Game 1. If it's Wednesday, I believe game 2 will be Saturday at 3 pm (NBC). If Thursday is Game 1, Sunday will be game 2 at 2 PM (NBC).

Don't quote me, but NBC said one of the Rangers games will be Saturday or Sunday, so it makes sense. I don't think there'd be a 3 day lay-off (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) between Game 1 and 2, so its either Weds-Sat or Thurs-Sun.

I'd assume either:

Weds at Buffalo
Saturday at Buffalo
Monday at MSG
Wednesday at MSG

Thurs at Buffalo
Sunday at Buffalo
Tuesday at MSG
Thursday at MSG

Rangers sweep in 4. The Sabres barely beat the Rangers in the reg. And they faced weak-ass Weekes. So clearly, the Rangers will destroy them with Lundqvist in net.
