Post-season Call ups

What are the rules for post-season call-ups? Can we bring in a d-man from Hartford to fill an injury void? Not saying we will, and I know the Pack are in the middle of the play-offs, just curious.

In that vein, what's up with Staal and the Wolves? Never mind, went and checked the thread myself.

Every team has 4 call ups available after the trading deadline.Trying to figure how many call ups the Rangers have left is challenging. Many of their call ups after the deadline were emergency call ups

Sudbury is one win away from playing in the OHL finals. They are leading their series against Belleville 3-2

And I gather that there are still emergency call ups (or replacements) for injured players avaialble during the POS---remember Bufflao losing about 5 D-men last year??--so I don't think this will be a problem---other then the drop iff in talent..Well, depending on who the player is..

I think the Rangers actually have one straight call up left....

I think the callups used were

Dawes
Callahan
Liffiton

I'm pretty sure I remember reading it on somebodys blog....although...it could've been on this board....i'm not sure...

I think Callahan's the only one that counts, as Dawes was an emergency call-up for someone who was questionable with the flu, and Liffition for Rachunek.

would Staal count as a call up? He's already under contract and his junior season would be ending.

He's not on the Ranger roster, so if you wanted him to play, he would have to be added to it. Although, it would not be a smart move to have him play his first game in such a pressure situation--against one of the fastest teams in the NHL.

His team is still in the playoffs and have a 3-2 lead in the semifinals, if his teams wins game 6 or 7 he will be going to the finals, so he has a ways to go.....

The guy I forgot about was Strudwick...Does he count towards the 4?

You are probably right above btw...Memory is a little foggy of late...

Negative, Struds was signed after the trade deadline & is unable to join the post season Roster.

I'd say there is NO chance Staal gets called up. It would be a very non Ranger move in these new times. Too young, too high pressure a situation. Sather, Maloney, Renny have been very careful about not rushing anyone up from Hartford, let alone from Juniors.

I know it's a moot point, but I do wish Kasper was playing in Hartford for this very type of emergency situation.

Man remember last season. Kasper still had game!

we should bring him back...just to match him up against Connolly.
