I definitely believe. This team has been counted out multiple times this season and always came back. We are a great home team and haven't lost at MSG since March 13. I think the Sabres are in for the fight of their lives.
Obviously I'm not as optimistic as I was before the series started, but I think we can win at least one game at home before we head back to Buffalo again. Seriously, if we don't make any big mistakes like we did the other day we WILL win. That's going to be really really hard though, especially down 2-0 in the series. Also, the fact that we can't get any quality shots on goal is only helping to inflate Miller's confidence. Meanwhile every shot Buffalo takes requires Lundqvist to make an amazing save, and/or is deflected in for a goal. Hope at least some of these things change
I'm expecting a blow-out of Game 3 vs. Atlanta proportions.
The MSG ice is gonna wreak havoc with Buffalo's transition game.
Here's to the worst ice sheet in the entire NHL!
This series is one Malik error from being tied 1-1, we dominated play in game #2 and showed we can play with those guys. Now we're moving back to NY, with the crowd, and the ice that the Rangers can cope with best.
We'll win, because that's the only option available.
Not quite the blowout I predicted, but the ice definitely came through for us!
The refs had a say about it, that's why it wasn't quite the blowout you expected. They stopped it by negating Rachunek's goal, and the onslaught of penalties called on the Rangers, and the number of times they just didn't see stuff on the Sabres.
Still, good guys prevailed as was foreseen, now it's onwards to game 4 and tying this series up!
