I was thinking about getting a blocker and catcher from the RBK series and the 6k is my favorite in terms of looks. For now i would only be using them in a roller hockey league during the summer. Does anyone think this would be a good investment?
your going to hate the wear and tear on the gear. The out door surface wears at the binding laces of the gloves and all the edges of the blocker. Unless your getting a real bargain price and your going to be able to deal with trashing them rapidly, DONT.
IF you choose to go fore it, I suggest taking all the glove binding lace and the leading edges of the blocker and covering it with a layer of white tape before each "ice" time. It will help reduce the ruination.
