I'm pretty sure Wideman is long gone

Apparently not. I've done a search and everything. Pretty weird, considering this is the bruins board.

EDIT--Apparently he is, but is on no particular roster.

Too bad people can't update their rosters. This is getting pathetic. I am fed up of changing my picks because searches show up nothing, but somehow, they have already been picked.

BTW, this thing is pretty much dying.

I agree. Screw the coach draft, screw the free agent draft, screw the prospect draft lets just get this thing going.

Should just be a 'Free Agent pickup Thread' where you can pick up people who have not been picked up. No prospect thread.

And lets get the season going already!

I'm going to post this on all the HFL threads -

If Tim (TMHUNH) and Matt_in_NS (Kaoz) or anyone else wants to get a site going and choose a simulator so we can start the real league please take the ball and run.

I'd be happy to help in any way but I'm not very tech savvy so, more than likely I'd be holding things up. However, if you point me in the right direction, I have no problem entering rosters, team names, owners etc. But I may need some hand holding so be prepared for a lot of questions.

Someone had a good point in one of these threads about starting the season and finishing the "drafts" concurrently.

Not a bad idea at this point, IMO.

Anyone care to take the reins?

like I said before I would be glad to do it, but I can only be of any help if we use the same sim I have been using all along. Which I was hoping for a consensus vote on since as I had mentioned, is old and wouldn't include things like shootouts. Also, for my sim anyways, farm teams and coaches do matter, so we would still have to finish up the prospect and coach draft before I finished the rosters, but we are moving to pick-a-day at the end of round 2 are we not?

Yes as far as I am concerned the pick a day will start at the beginning of round 3.

If no one else chimes in with another "sim" program in a few days we probably should go ahead with yours.

Either way thanks for the offer.

What about my Wideman pick? Is it still eligible? I don't see him on anyone else's roster...

If I still worked with his wife it may have -I couldn't justify picking anyone else to her.

Well, I have two picks to make, but I'm working on an essay right now, so it'll have to wait.

did you trade away any of your prospect picks Vic, or just don't plan on making them?

I do plan on making them, why?

I'm not up yet in the draft I believe...

I really need an assistant GM.

Ya, I'm busy all weekend, so I won't be able to make my free agent picks. Although I'm ahead of many others, I would like to have a full roster. I can make a huge amount of picks on Monday, or someone can handle that for me since I have school all day tomorrow, won't be on the computer Friday due to school/friends birthday, saturday due to work/social gathering, and Sunday due to work/school work.

Vic,

sounds like you aren't aware of the roster requirements.

You can have a MAX of 43 players in your org.

this includes all drafted players PLUS prospects.

so that is why I ask if you plan on making your prospect picks.

You have already gone over the amount of prospect picks you theoretically have left with the amount of FAs you have signed.

Oh. Damnit.

Well, can I drop one player then, so I can make 10 prospect picks? At the moment I have 34 pros and 1 prospect (35). With 9 prospect picks left, I can only choose 8. I didn't understand the rule (sorry).

Wait, I'm actually okay. The Wideman pick is inelligible, so I have only 33 pros, with 9 prospect draft picks to make. The draft is 10 rounds, no? If it's more, it doesn't matter, since the majority of my picks were young guys anyways.

Kaoz has pm'd me and can donate space but he's got a newborn and doesn't have the time to design the web-page or install the "sim" program.

If anyone can do those two things please, please, please pm him and get it going.

I'd really like to start this thing soon - we've put too much time and effort into it to lose it now.

We can start the games while continuing the prospect and free agent drafts.
