Would hate to see Okposo rushed; I wonder if we hurt Camps by pushing him too hard in the prior season (agree DoubleChili's post). Believe Neilson is closer to ready; esp if Bergie comes back, let Kyle get his AHL feet first.
Other than butchering Nielsen's name I agree with your post

I think I agree. Look at the difference in Gervais by being in a lesser pressure situation. Camps is a pretty good D-man, but we forced him up last year and gave him A LOT of responsibility. That's tough for a kid. I think Crosby would have benefited from a year in the minors but he has more skill to overcome his lack of experience, and the Pens couldn't wait. I just think we should let kids develop and not rush them up. Okposo will be a solid NHL'er. He will be very good for us. But he is young. We have a plethora of kids, and they have more experience. Let Tambs and Nielson come up. Give them a shot at the prize and see what they can do after some seasoning.

and injured. Seriously, there are many reasons why this is not how we should go. My hope is we can move away from the "Island of Misfit Toys" roster we had this year and stop adding broken and/or "enigmatic" pieces.

One of my all-time favorites. One of the best lines ever:
El Guapo: Are gringos falling from the sky?
[Ned falls from overhead and lands with a thud]
Jefe: Yes, El Guapo.

But who can forget... MY little Buttercup...

Sweet little buttercup, won't you stay a while?

My favorite song from that movie is "Blue Shadows." And my favorite line: "Do you have anything besides Mexican food?"

Sundin, signing with the Islanders? Don't make me laugh. He would never do it in a million years.

Jon Lovitz. Lyle Lovett was a country western singer (married Julia Roberts?). But, yeah, he was great in Amigos:

"The Amigos are out of the mansion."

"Take the Amigos' clothes!"

Whoops.. I knew I was wrong when I typed that... it just looked wrong... Oh well..

"Great.. you killed the Invisible Swordsman!"
"You were supposed to fire up.. WE all fired up!"

Still.. I got a kick out of:

"How can you tell it's a mail plane?"
"Can't you see it's two little balls?"

Classic.

As were the two scenes Atrivis alluded to.

Gotta love Chevy Chase, especially in the National Lampoons series'.

Regarding Gomez hes not a guy who light up the "stat" book but if you watch Devils games...there is a huge difference when he isnt in the game.
Hell id rather pay him 6.5 than pay Yashin any day of the week.

Well, sort of. I think all that DaMick was trying to point out is that Yashin is certainly no game changer and he makes well over what it will potentially cost to land Gomez.

However, DaMick should have clarified that a bit in his post.

I understand what he was saying. Out of respect, he should have wrote "corrected it for you". Yashin isn't worth me writing about, unless it involves him getting bought out of his contract.

Thanks. Peace!
