Glad something 'official' has been announced since after the early comments about talking contract, it got quiet. I wonder if they were waiting for his hand to heal or just took time to work out the terms.
Possibly an article on mlive within the next day or two; they had a write-up after Mursak signed. And of course, the official announcement should pop up on the website at some point.
Hershey/SC D-men signed/RFA for next season, assuming Green and Schultz are in DC, but one could be in Hershey:
I expect they sign a couple of vet (not necessarily vet in terms of the AHL rule) d-men to round out the d-corps; possibly from some currently playing in Hershey or from elsewhere. And of course, there is the question about what the plan is with Lepisto for next season.
Wow, 8-9 sounds like a lot for the ECHL with a max of 50 contract players; I'd expect Machesney in the ECHL, unless Daigneault is not with the organization and even if he is not, Machesney may still be in the ECHL for next season; after that not sure what the mix of forwards and d-men in SC (if they renew as expected) will be, but 8-9 sounds a little high; I assumed 5-6 depending on the signings, etc. I will hold off on which d-men will be headed to SC based on actual signings and performance during dev camp and training camp as I have only seen McNeill on the ice a few times..
Confirmation that he is signing an ATO with Hershey; I assume they may have been waiting for his hand to heal since he broke a bone in his hand in the last regular season game.
I wonder with the amount D that will be in Hershey and SC, that Pokulok will see more time at forward like he did this year, barring he isn't injury plagued again for next season

I wouldn't think - He was only a forward due to extraordinary circumstances toward the end of a lost season - He will be on the top of the list for the d-men in ice time - if after some games in Hershey he isn't ready, he will get top ice time @ SC - He may be the 12th ranked prospect here but I am sure he is much higher w/ the guys who make the decisions.

I never heard the reasoning on why he played at forward in SC
Just like the Caps were plagued with injuries this past season so were the Stingrays. Sasha handles the puck very well for a defenseman and with them being shorthanded up front they had him filling in at that position.
He is a defenseman and not a forward and I believe that was a one time deal...
