i would go w/. either hank or luongo.. luongo played on really bad teams and always stood on his head.. henrik has had success everywhere so far, how can you not pick him.. he's had success across the board..

*fleury i would consider my 3rd option behind henrik and luongo..
*dipietro has alot of injury issues right now, and how the effect him down the road only time will tell..
*miller i'm really not completely sold on.. he's either looked really good or really average to me..
*lehtonen i wont even put in this class.. he's played 1 full season..

Henke all the way, I know Luongo placed the Canucks on his shoulders and carried them as far as he could but Lundqvist did the same and went further. Both are amazing goalies no doubt but Lundqvist is my biased choice.

Luongo.

I can't believe people saying Lundqvist is better than Luongo and they'd take him over Luongo. Wow.

Luongo, while not leaps and bounds better, is definitely better than Lundqvist.

It's not even arguable, IMO.

Partial to Lundqvist but Luongo is super. If Luongo played here we'd all be singing his praises.
We are truly living in a golden age for goaltenders: never has the overall quality of those between the pipes been better. Only after careers are over will we be able to assess the question of who was better.
I've been a fan since the last years of the Original Six when Sawchuck, Hall, Plante, Worsley, Bower and others were all active. Saw another great era in the first 10 years of expansion with Giacomin, Parent, Dryden, Vachon, and Esposito.
But the goalies today are simply fantastic.
Here's another question that I'm sure has been discussed elsewhere: who is the greater goalie (looking at their overall careers): Hasek or Brodeaur. I'll take the Dominator.
Meanwhile, I plan to enjoy the emerging career of our great goalie.

I could see how someone could make an argument for Fleury. He is no older than 23 (i think) He is gonna be really good. I personally think Lundqvist but my opinion is extremely biased. I could not tell which to pick if I dont see them every night.

1. Luongo

2. Lundqvist
3. Miller
4. Dipietro

5. Fleury

6. Lethonen

I have probably seen too little of these guys to make a good estimate + my Lundqvist-homerism but from what I have seen I think Luongo is the best of them, he was a beast in Vancouver this season. Lundqvist and Miller looked fairly matched during the PO's and Dipietro is a really skilled goalie. Fleury is a goalie I probably should watch more, never been that impressed by him. Lethonen... meh, I don't see the special stuff in him.

Lundqvist or Luongo.

Lundqvist should still be getting better and could be better then Luongo in 3 years when hes 28 and Roberto is 31.

These 2 will be the elite goalies in the NHL for years to come. Im sure at least one of DP, Miller, Lethonen, or Fleury will emerge as well as an elite..but they aren't close yet.

DP is older than Lundqvist, so I would def.take Henrik over DP

I believe this is Luongo's first ever nomination for the Vezina trophy. Lundqvist has been nominated twice (in only two NHL seasons), and he is three years younger than Luongo, so it is arguable.

Like you imply, it shouldn't. Takes longer for goalies to develop and should be the beginning of their prime or their prime. In any event, Lundqvist or Luongo for me too

Hank or Luongo. All the others will probably be very good in the future too, but I think Lundqvist and Luongo will always be a step ahead. Plus, I'm a Rangers fan. And Lundqvist is the man

I will remove the blinders that seem to be stuck on evryones head and go with
Luongo(No doubt) then Henrik or Miller in a toss up at this point.
I dont think people look past this year for Luongo because he was in hockey hell for a longtime in FL, Go look at ALL his numbers while in FL.

In no particular order, Henke, Luongo & Miller for the near-to-far future. Although, somewhere along the way, I believe that Ricky D. & Fleury will be heard from.
