NO
The Blues have already hired Kieth Allain(formerly the goal-tending consultant) to fill Kitchen's former spot as Assistant Coach. MacInnis apparently thinks he might recover enough to play in the PO's(hence his descision to hold off on making his retirement official) but if not he will coach his kids team. At this time he has no plans on being a NHL coach.

Even if Allain is on an interim basis, Mac hasn't retired yet because he wants to play(doesn't know if he CAN but wants to). If Mac eventually becomes a coach it will not be until at least next season(and odds are Mac will want to spend some time with his family before jumping right into a coaching spot). I think that Mac eventually be a coach for the Blues, but it will not be for another couple years.
