Out of curiosity, why would Dallas deal younger players?

Because they're not satisfied with their team this season?

I'd love for Burke to pick up Meittinen. Perhaps for another prospect. Maybe if Burke will move him, RJ Umberger.

Pens might be interested. Are you looking for prospects, picks, or current help though?

New York would have to trade him back to Pittsburg first don't you think?

Why would we deal our top forward prospect? We are thin among youth as it is, I'd consider Miets untouchable. We aren't the Sens, our overall age is like 34.

Because nearly all of our veterans are overpaid and underachieving, so finding buyers for players like Turgeon and Young would be hard. Antii Miettinen while very good, is more of the same for the Stars, in that we have many 2-way prospects.

Agree with you here. Stars have underachieving vets, but trading away the youth doesn't make sense. Especially since the vets aren't 5 year vets, they're 10+ year vets. In other words, they won't be here in a few years, so trading away youth now means making like the Rangers and signing free agents to rebuild or sink into mediocrity for years waiting for good draft picks to develop.
