Garry Bettman will never let a team leave the southern us. It will make him look bad for expanding to Nashville. Also he always talks about how expansion is a long term project not short term as well.
...........................besides that he will never let Balsilie move a team to Canada.
And either move back there, or take the Las Vegas offer. I do love it here, but part of that love is going to Predators games.
I sure as hell don't want to stay in a town where the only pro team is the Titans.
Oh, and back when the Knights were ripped away and moved to Pensacola, I hated them and still do (even though I think this year they folded). I don't know if I'll hate the team but I will the owner. It would be hard to hate Legwand, Vokoun, Radulov, Weber etc.
I have been one of the few Canadians on this board that has defended Southern US expansion. I hope this team stays here and that the corporate area rallies around this team next season.
I really hope the Preds stay in Nashville. I can't imagine the Sharks moving out of SJ because I've become so accustomed to having them here since I moved to the Bay Area. This really makes me feel for a fan base that seems like they might be on the brink of having their team move. Hopefully they stay put and the Predators fan base will be able to continue to have their team.

i wont hate the players that play on the preds, but i will hate the organization, and i hope it fails.
Edit: It is official they have been sold... that is horrible news
Feel your pain Nashville fans...
Nashville fans, I would not worry to much about the preds going to Hamilton because Buffalo and Toronto would have something to say about it. Hamilton is Buffalo and Toronto fan base. They have been trying to get an NHL team in Hamilton for years, It will never happen.

The most likely place for a team in southwest Ontario would be somewhere just outside Kitchener-Waterloo. K-W itself is still within the Leafs area (I think the league rules are 65 miles) but putting a team a little down the road, or even in London would still have a pretty big population to draw from.

Not from Nashville, but having had an NBA team ripped from my town I feel for you guys. The year they left, I really tried to follow the Grizzlies but just couldn't, and haven't really gotten back into the NBA until these playoffs jumpin back on the Utah bandwagon (loved Stockton and Malone as a kid)
Well supporting Nashville from afar, firstly in Australia and now in Michigan, i guess this poll isn't really for me but the Nashville residents. I'll still have my say though, I'd like to think i could support them elsewhere, but I am a nashville fan not a predator fan, if i was a predator fan i would have watched that movie more than the once. Nashville forever!
I hope you guys will be able to keep your team in Nashville.
Expension is a long term project, I can not see them moving to Vegas, or Kansas city, like there were rumors with Pittsburg. As the Canadian option, we are real hardcore hockey fans, but financial reality is different either.
-Craig Leipold, one would think, is looking to sell the team and stop the losses he's been incurring, so the sale will probably go through.
-If paid attendance is below 14,000 average, the owner can walk away from his obligation to the Sommet Center as early as next season. Last season, Nashville's paid attendance was 12,000 with total attendance of 14,428 (2,428 seats given away).

If the NHL lets the team move I'm done with the NHL.
