Hey guys,

I really hope the Preds remain in Nashville but in the event that they don't...would you still be a fan of the team? I was always curious as to whether the fanbase continued to follow a team after a move.

Good luck.

**** no, and I'm the one closest enough to see a Hamilton game. If the Preds move Hockey is dead to me.

If the Predators move, I hope the players all find luck elsewhere, as they are a great group. However, not for the Predators franchise if it moves.

I'll support hockey, but not as much as I do now.

Also, you might want to checkout things before you post:

NHL and hockey aren't one and the same.

I'll quit following the NHL but will pay more attention to the minor leagues and leagues in Europe.

Nope. I probably will actually root for whoever the Predators play against. AKA they will become my most hated team in professional sports.

I think when a team relocates often the fans in the old city still have a great deal of respect for the players that they used to love so much but have a hard time cheering for the franchise due to the circumstances around the relocation.

If the Preds move would former fans really want to cheer for and buy merch of franchise owned by Balsillie

If the Preds end up moving, I would still support them (and I might consider buying the merchandise). I like the team because of the players and the chemistry between them. I am not a fan of the team because of who owns them or what city they represent. I also happen to be a fan of the Carolina Hurricanes even though I have never been to Raleigh.

But it would just really suck to hear..."And now, coming onto the ice, YOUR Hamilton Predators!"

I know for a fact I will never watch them play a home game in Hamilton. I might watch an away game or two.

Won't support the franchise wherever it moves one bit, but I will still keep up to see how my most beloved players are doing (Vokoun, Radulov, Sully, etc.) and hope they play for someone else some day.

If the Predators does not have Nashville in front of it, I won't give them my support, but as long as they stay here I will support them.

I will pray that the whole team jumps ship for free agency.

I will not send one single dime to Mr Blackberry.

I'd probably still have a soft spot in my heart for them, but I don't think I could support them like I do now.

I don't root for players, my mind does not work that way. If the Preds move it's over. And when I say hockey is dead to me I mean the NHL.

I will be completely done with the sport PERIOD. Screw the NHL and the "we are better than you" attitude of it's fans.

The Atlanta Thrashers will gain a season ticket holder (or at least a flex pack for weekend trips to Atlanta).

The Hamilton Preds then become my most hated team.

I'll still follow the careers of Shea Weber, Martin Erat, Alex Radulov, Ryan Suter, etc... just like I do my favorite former BU Terriers (Amonte, Drury, etc...), but as far as teams go, I'll go back to being a Ranger fan like I was before we had a team. I've been a rabid hockey fan of all levels from NCAA to europe to right here in Nashville since I was 15 (not bad for a kid from middle TN), I'm 31 now......this will not change my love for the game. I do hope that we end up with an AHL or ECHL team if this comes to fruition.

What we have to do as Preds fans now is keep buying our tickets, convince friends to buy tickets, talk to your employer about purchasing tickets......beg, borrow or steal to make sure we surpass the 14,000 per game mark next season.

I'll still follow the players, but I doubt very much that I'll be cheering for the Preds or whatever they rename them to.

as a sabres fan, I remember this feeling and dont wish it on anybody. I would have held a grudge against the NHL and after 25 years of watching the NHL product I would have taken a step elsewhere.
But that wasnt even really the NHL's fault. You guys have more reason to be bitter. The NHL is actually facilitating a move which on the surface, it bluntly looks like a guy is going to try to move the team far from Tennessee. I wouldnt blame you for being bitter.
