Well, according to the Fan590 here in Toronto, Gonchar is a scratch for tonights game.

He has the flu apparently, but Fan590 Leaf reporter Howard Berger spoke to Gonchar this morning, and he was fine...

He's listed in the pairings on the Caps' website pregame, but that's hardly definitive.

Probably something to do with needing to get back in game shape. He was out for a while, and with the Caps lineup, he logs big minutes. Might be tiring easily as he tries to get back into game shape.

Given all the conflicting reports swirling around I guess I will be waiting for the exact deal (if at all) before commenting on that. While it would be a shame to see Carlo go, I'd say him and a first is a good deal value wise...

Dunno about Gonchar, but I know that Kovalchuk is a healthy scratch tonight v. NJ. He showed up late for team practice. I think I read it on Sportsnet

Some reports indicate Colaiacovo+ 1st as the offer. Adding Antropov obviously changes the value of what the Leafs are offering
