Checkout the wager my boss and I have riding on ANA-DET! (embarassing)

My boss (owner of the company) is a DET fan so I tried to propose some 'fun/embarassing' bets to do on the series.

He wouldn't go for shaving his head or things of the sort but finally proposed and settled on this:

The loser must get his butt waxed, wear a speedo of the winner's choice and walk around in only that though our office, showing each employee one by one at their desk.

We have about 40-45 in-house staff heh.

trust me the office staff are the losers in this one LOL so GO DUCKS GO !!

Heh, I expect 38-43 employees to call in sick the next day after this series is over. And I think one or both of these guys need to see a shrink for their suppressed exhibitionism.

Actually, can we kill this whole thread? Not only would I be depressed if the Ducks loss, all I would think of when seeing Varius's posts is "there's the guy who got his butt waxed and paraded around work in a speedo."

I won a head-shaving when UCLA beat Arkansas in the NCAA Finals in 1995. The person I was wagering with was a partner in his law firm, and one of his attornies actually drew up a legal contract for the wager. When the time came for the shaving, he begged and *pleaded* for his hair. I said, as an alternative, that he could loan me his credit card for one evening so that I could take my girl out for a night on the town.

He said, "okay, but how much are you going to spend?"

I asked, "how much is it worth for you to keep your hair?"

He said, "two hundred."

I said, "shave him."

Eventually we reached an agreement where he was not going to ask how much I would spend, and I might not ruin his credit.

Between dinner, wine, champagne, dancing, flowers, gifts and some killer Bavarian Kirschtorte and coffee at a specialty dessert restaurant, I probably put around $700 on that card.

He wasn't thrilled with that, but he acknowledged that he wouldn't have traded it for his hair.

Hahahaha... good stuff, the head shaving story that is.

Aren't there some sort of sexual harassment violations in this bet?

Ya, where's the HR department on this to pull the boss away from the big pile of dung he is about to step in?

The HR manager was with us when the bet was made and had no objections and our in-house lawyer said it's all good..besides this is Costa Rica, not the USA, so people don't really have that lawsuit mentality and our office is all about fun (we are an internet company)

How do you watch hockey in Costa Rica? I was just over in Guatemala for the Vancouver-Anaheim series and hockey there is like unheard of.

1.8 metre dish on my roof to catch dishnet from the USA

I get tons of hockey, unfortunately KDOC and Versus where most Ducks games are on I don't get strong enough signal usually.

I'm hoping today's game shows on Fox Sports Detroit though as they usually show almost every DET game.

I think you're out of luck from now on. All the remaining playoff games are either on NBC or VS. It's a bit annoying as we like our Detroit FSN crew. Mickey Redmond is hilarious, and often calls them the way he sees 'em.
