Congratulations from a Senators fan

Well, I'm sure your board will be drowning in these threads, but I wanted to congratulate the Ducks on the Stanley Cup win - they executed their game plan to near-perfection, and did what it took to win the greatest prize in sports. When one team takes 3 of the 4 first games of the Stanley Cup Finals after not having a lead going into the 3rd period in any of them, that says a lot about a team's character and tenacity. And I've always felt any team that wins the Cup deserves to win it at home for their fans.

These are two great young teams with bright futures - but this year yours was the better, and deserved the Cup.

Congrats from another Sens fan. I knew you guys were better after being decimated in Games 1 & 2. After games 3 & 4 I atleast felt like we could hang with you. The better team won this series and I hope you guys get to enjoy this for awhile.

Hopefully one day I can feel what you guys are feeling. Again, congrats.

You guys played very well. I have noticed that you have to be once in the finals and lose there then u can win the cup. Ducks were so close in 2003. But dont worry, you were in the finals and i think soon the stanley cup will go to ottawa

Better team won the Cup. I watched the Ducks in the first 3 rounds and wasn't overly impressed, they seemed very inconsistent and vulernable. They sure peaked and brought their A game for the final. The greybeards and all the cup final experience got the boat steadied, and put it together. Congratulations, enjoy.

A little easier to swallow knowing that we lost to an excellent team for once.

Congrats, you deserve it.

Agreed with what everyone else said above.

A heartbreaking loss, but in the end we didn't deserve it.

Meh, its too bad and would have prefered not to see Pronger win, but on the other hand i'm really happy guys like Selanne, Marchant, O'Donnell, Gigs and MacDonald get to rejoice. Have fun with it guys/girls. Enjoy the moment and cheer for those boys even louder than during the games when the parade goes around, they've waited/worked their whole life for that cup.

I'll follow the lead of my fellow Sens fans and say congratulations as well. I'm glad for Selanne.

Congrats to the Ducks and their fans.

It's a heartbreaking loss for us, but you guys certainly deserved it with the way your team played. I'm proud of the Sens for what they accomplished this year, but I have no problems saying that the better team won the cup.

I think both of our teams have a lot to look forward to in the near future, and I'd love to see a rematch in the finals because I thought that both teams provided an entertaining series!

Congrats once again. Make sure you guys enjoy it, and I hope this certainly brings much more publicity to the Ducks' organization within the Orange County area, because the Ducks, and this sport, have a good thing going!

Sincerely, a heartbroken Sens fan....

Great series, you have a great team. I always really liked the Ducks... before we had to play them.

Oh and BIG congrats to Selanne - I know, had it not been the Sens, I likely would have pulled for the Ducks so Selanne could win one.

Congratulations to the Ducks and their fans. It was their year for sure and it was great to see Teemu raise the cup. Don't let the salt air ruin that lovely cup because we need it back here next year

Its hard to accept defeat when you go so far, but there's only 1 winner. Anaheim definitely played like that winner this series. Congrats and enjoy what we can't...yet.
