Tell me about Hartnell

Can someone tell me what kind of player Hartnell is? I've read he's a hard worker and isn't afraid of contact. Will he go for the big hit? How overall physical is he?

And I usually see him listed as a winger, but can he play centre? Which position does he play his best hockey?

And one last thing. How much salary do you think he is worth and how much do you think he will get?

Thanks a bunch to anyone who answers!

he used to be a big hitter/fighter but now he just kinda scrappy and well timed hits here and there. He is a good in front of the net guy and he can skate pretty well, I think he will get paid alot more than he is worth though...

I'm an Oilers fan but I'll take a stab at your questions anyway. I believe he was offered $2.3 million from Nashville but believes he can get over $3 million elsewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've heard.

I hope L.A pays him close to 3 mil. I like that horse, can play 2nd line winger, something the badly need.

Hartnell is a player who is on pretty much every team in the leagues short-list. Anyone with any sort of cap-space, and the need for physicality (and who doesn't need more physical players) will be giving him a call. People talk in the $3 million neighbourhood, I'm thinking he'll easily get $4 million per.

I got a juicy one for ya......

A player [that won't be named] said that there is no way that the Preds are interested in resigning Hartnell, because, for one, everybody in the locker room couldn't stand him.....

That is pretty interesting. I hope the guys that couldn't stand him can make up for his production.

Can they stop being able to stand Tootoo, while they're at it?

I'm sorry, who on the Ducks was responsible for taking crazy penalties, racking up suspensions and creating a "dirty team" reputation while contributing zero offensively and serving as a defensive liability?

Hey, I reacquired our first round pick from Philadelphia for Tootoo in the Free Agent Game on the Trades board.

Check out our roster...I think we'd all be happy. Tootoo isn't there, but Forsberg and Erik Cole are among others.

On a blog on Ekland's site, some guy called SmokingChicken is quoting Handtrick and calling Handtrick "a source close to the team." He even copied the part about this "being a juicy one."

Hartnell Not Expected to Return

It's interesting that on EVERY BOARD almost, fans from other teams are penciling in "sign Hartnell, 4 years, 2.5 million dollars"

Good luck with that, folks.

I'm thinking more and more the roster is going to get a major overhaul.

Kariya: Disappeared in the playoffs
Timonen: Too expensive
Hartnell: (From Handtrick) Team hates him
Forsberg: Taking a half year off and could come back to play second half

Hordichuk: Spent most time on bench and if an RFA. (Also the radio curse)

Fiddler will stay, Zanon I hope stays, but after that there's nothing in the rumors stating the Preds will be going after other FAs. Klein will be on the team which puts 5 D men on the roster.
