One thing I noticed while watching the rest of the playoffs. I never saw anyone skating in circles in front of their own net. or just plan skating in circles instead of dumping the puck in. I will never get use to the Euro still. I will take the good Canadian type hockey any day.... That wins you the Stanley cup. 18 Canadians on Anahiem.

Yeah, let's dump Jagr, Nylander, Straka, Lundqvist, Rozsival, etc. They held us back last year.
Take the Euros off the Rangers and you would have had a horrendous season and would be looking at a possible lottery pick. This nonsense about the negative of Euros became garbage in the 70's yet some still have not caught up.

Thats a stupid argument. If you took all the Euro's off the team we'd have like 8 guys left. No one is saying they dont have skill, and no one is even saying that they're not going to win a bunch of games in the regular season.
But the fact is that there has never been a team that is as filled with Europeans as the NYR are to win the cup... EVER. And only one team (the last Detroit team to win), was even close in the amount of Europeans (and at least some of there's were tougher than average like Fischer, Holmstrom). Predominantly, teams winning cups are not built like this at all. Count up the # of big Euro contributors on Cup winning teams as far back as you would like. There's usually not that many.
Also, Lundqvist has nothing to do with this. The goalie contributes nothing to the style of play of the team. Who cares where he is from... And really who cares where any of them are from? Its the STYLE of play thats being talked about, which happens to often be shaped by the continent of choice. But a team with guys like Chara, Tollefssen, Oduya, Ivanans, Pahlsson, etc would not be one thats very "european" at all.

Talk about stupid arguments. Euros are still relatively new to the NHL. Their numbers grow every year. Do you think it's because of any reason other than they are qualified?

Actually it's the fact that players are not North American that is raised from time to time by idiots. Then when it is brought up that classifying all Euros as soft is actually bull%%%% the chat changes to STYLE of play.
Tough is taking a check to make a play. Tough is going into a corner first. Euros all over the league are doing this just as well as their non-Euro counterparts.

Well, obviously you must be right. Because as more and more Euro's come into the league every year, more and more and more European's are winning the cup and more and more Euro-style teams are winning lately right?
Let's see how many regular skaters were European that played regularly in the playoffs for the Cup winners:
Anaheim: 2 (pahlsson, selanne)
Carolina: 2 (kaberle, wallin) ... vasicek and tverdovsky barely played in playoffs
Tampa: 4 (modin, fedotenko, kubina, afanasankov) ... cibak barely played
NJ: 3 (elias, brylan, tverdovsky) ... bicek played a game or two
It just doesn't seem like European dominated teams are winning as more and more Europeans enter the league does it? And many of those guys like Fedotenko, Kubina, Pahlsson, Wallin, are among the most 'North American' of the Europeans that are out there too.
Lesson learned? Rangers could beat Buffalo. And Ottawa. And Anaheim. Why didn't they? Hockey is the game and they were out of luck. Good goalie can dramatically improve your chances and we had that. But we weren't lucky... Well, Detroit was out of luck as well.

Who are the European dominated teams that are suffering as a result of it?
You could also put together a list showing the lack of Americans dominating the NHL and yet I don't remember any threads here trashing the American style of play, whatever that is.
