What will it cost to us to get J.-P. Dumont

Hi guys!

From Montreal. I'm just wondering what will it cost to us to get Jean-Pierre Dumont

Is it a fair deal to offer you the 22nd pick for the next draft

Thanks in advance

We're very likely to lose two wingers in Kariya and Hartnell due to free agency. That means that Dumont becomes even more of an important player to our team.

On top of that, he was a consistent player last season who played very well for us. He was phenomenal in the playoffs, as he was one of the few players to actually show up.

So a no go from the Predators perspective if we are simply getting back a first round draft pick.

You must be kidding. JP will be one of the biggest pieces for our team next year. I personally wouldn't let him go at all, unless it was a spectacular deal if I was the GM. He is just so dynamic and talented.

I was just wondering in the case if Nashville want to retain Hartnell, if they will consider to move Dumont. But it's ok. All I wanted to know if it's possible to make a move for him.

JP was one of our best players in the playoffs, and really...for most of last season, he went through stretches as being our best player, overall. Finished second on the team in points to Kariya without nearly as much PP time. I'd say he's pretty untouchable.

Thanks for the info. It's pretty hard to know how players played in the West, because I'm in the East. All the access I get is the stats and didn't know how well he played for the Predz.
