He is one of the few players to take advantage of the complete educational package offered by the CHL to all players when they sign an "educational contract" prior to playing in the league.

It is good to see that he has decided to use the opportunity.

Yup, it's great to see and I really wish him well in his post hockey life (if he doesn't play minor hockey after -- which a lot of guys do).

As others have said, good for him for taking advantage of the CHL's system. Better than wasting a couple of years in the low minors and then having to pay for school himself years later. Plus, many CIS players continue to play after school.
