I feel for you guys on this...your situation pretty much parallels the Pens a few years ago. We basically let Lang walk, traded Jagr and Kovalev for crap, etc. Hang in there. Worst case I would hope the NHL steps in and blocks any type of move like they did with the pens. Hang in there!

Looks like they are stripping down the team to try to help keep your guys attendance down. I feel bad for you guys, but the only thing you can do is still go to the games & support your team no matter what kind of product they put on the ice this coming season.

Just when you though it couldn't get any harder being a Preds fan, this happens well I guess it is to be expected. Thanks Jim . I wonder who will replace them, most likely so ECHL no names

Yeah this is bad. But honestly its the least of my worries. We could have an AHL team on the ice for 3 more years and I wouldnt care as long as we still had a team to cheer on. I want the attendance this year (and next). Of course, if we dont do well that could hurt us anyway so....

This is the work of Leipold and his people. The sale may or may not go through, Leipold has to run the team as he sees fit. And he's obviously trimming the budget.

On the surface, this looks terrible...

but if you think about it, it's not so bad.

When you look at Hartnell for 4.2 mil/6, and 6.8/6 for Timonen, would any of us have paid that? They were UFA's, not RFA's.

They got their cash, and we at least got something for them.

Yeah, but if we weren't having all these relocation issues, who is to say that both wouldn't have signed back here for a hometown discount.
Hartnell would have signed here last year for $3 mill x 6 yrs, Legwand told me so......not that they would have paid him that...but still.

You know, I am just tired of looking on the bright side.

Better than what we would have gotten July 1st.

I think no matter what, both were gone anyway...so I'm not too terribly heartbroken by this.

THe only thing that's changed...a month ago, we would have signed replacements.

I agree, but even before the sale, HT said that he had heard the team wanted no part of resigning Hartnell.

Like we needed another reason to be crapped on.

This sucks.
