It's be perfect for Hamilton. We're still in Nashville and will have to respectfully pass.

I think I actually would ... depending what the condition is on the first rounder (playoffs OR personal performance) ... 2 1st's for a 5th round goalie (i think that's where vokoun was drafted) & Toivonen AND Ward

Vokoun was drafted in the ninth.

I'd actually consider this, but I like Mason more than Vokoun anyway.

While i'm not opposed to trading Vokoun, not for that. As a poster said, that's great for Hamilton.

For me, I still have dreams of a cup run, and we still have a pretty good hockey club this year. And this doesnt help us one bit for at least 3 years.

No thanks.

When Vokoun is traded (he will be, since Leipold wants to cut his losses), he'll be traded for draft picks and or prospects. No salary of any sort of significance will come back.

(Before the flames, his NTC doesn't kick in until July 1st)

What would the conditions be on the first rounder? If the conditions are reasonable, I think it is a good offer. However, the offer would only be considered by the Preds IF we need to cut salary AND we think Mason is our guy. I'm undecided on both. I think we can have Vokoun with a limited budget, and I think that Mason is simply not as good as Vokoun (although I love Chris, and if this happened....I wouldn't be upset because I think he will do a great job as a starting goalie.)

ditto Hamilton would be given the team with this trade A lot of people in this town would abandon the cause if Vokie is traded

Wow! I really had no idea that his NTC wasn't already in effect.... yep, he's a goner for sure...

Poor old Arnott (signed for the next 4 years) must be crapping himself.

I wouldn't call Vokoun injury prone. He had a broken finger last season...and prior to that, he wasn't "injured," they thought he had blood clots in his legs, which is a condition...but it turned out he didn't.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Toivonen, 1st in 07 and 08 and Ward for Vokoun?

Wow that is honestly ridiculous. Vokoun could never merit that. Toivonen and maybe this years 1st.

So, a goalie that to this point has been a disappointment...and a pick that falls outside the "blue chip prospect" range...for an all-star goalie and former team mvp?

Only on HF. Only on HF.

Looks like its more then just on HF considering you got less.

Looks like Vokoun wasn't as valuable as you thought....
