On the one hand it is reassuring to know the Wild have a guy that can take on the heavyweights of the NHL. On the other hand, he's already over a million in salary, perhaps there's a less expensive slugger in the AHL somewhere who could take his place. Also, his habit of losing it and getting suspended is no help to the team.

I like this. MJ has had, dare I say, a career year this year and it is about time DR locks up some more vets to surround the surging youth movement we have going on here Walz is locked in...sign MJ, Brunno, Weimer, STOP.

Do you mean bum as in, he's not scared to get in a fight? Unlike that little chicken s*** Matt Cooke?

Because, if that is what you mean by "bum" your right on!

That 'chicken ****' got Johnson a 5 game suspension

Try working on acquiring offense, maybe then you'd make the Playoffs....

Do we have to go through this again? Both players are overated by there respective fans imo.

JMO, but Vancouver should worry about themselves instead of other teams.

So far, replying to trolls has been minimal, I suggest we keep it up.

Good for MJ. He deserves it. He has done a great job in the fighting department this season and with good offensive numbers as well.

That's right folks, no feeding the trolls. I was hoping this thread wouldn't turn into anything like the Cooke thread, but just so everyone knows I will be keeping a very close eye on it. We can argue in a good hearted way that only involves the players.

Signed to a multi-year deal.

I'm happy, if only because it bugs other teams' fans.

Good move. Every team needs a goon and MJ has gone above and beyond the call "goonhood" duty IMO. His skating has improved and at times has looked like a hockey player out there. As long as the numbers are relatively low, I'm lovin it.

Star-Trib says three years for around 3.3 million. A bit of a pay cut, isn't it? Must have incentives, or Johnson's thinking he'll finish out here, or maybe he's just satisfied.
