St. Louis and Naslund for a tie but you cant ignore Lang as a contender as best forward in the league this year even on a crappy team he was leading the league in points on and off with St. Louis and Naslund
I'd have to go with Martin St-Louis, with Naslund right behind.
Agree with you 100%. He's so quick.. fast too.. there's a difference between fast and quick.. St. Louis is both. He's fiesty.. he would be a force to reckon with no matter where he played this year. Even in Pittsburgh.
Has to be St. Louis. No doubt.
But, my homer pick is Patty Elias - I've never seen him play so good!
(I'm not kidding. He's not putting up the points he did with Arnott/Sykora, but man is he ever confident on offense and defense.)
I do agree with St. Louis and Naslund but just to through another name out there...
Jarome Iginla!!
He had a very slow start but has been the Flames best player for a while. He is 4th in the league in goals. Also he does it all, scores, hits, fights, he's the leader on the team. Also he is doing this while not having much offensive help. Naslund has Bertuzzi and Morrison, St. Louis has Lecavalier and Richards, whereas Iggy doesn't have anyone near that calibre.
I still have to say when he is healthy, Peter Forsberg by a mile.
However, based solely on this season, factoring in injuries and the like, I've got to go with Martin St. Louis.
You have to say Martin St. Louis for RIGHT NOW. If not for Naslund's injury he might still be leading the league in scoring, but I'll givemy nod to St. Louis, should be the MVP this year.
