Where does he play? He's been a right-winger for most of his career and the Rags already have Jagr and Shanahan/Prucha on the first two lines. Plus, Sykora is also most effective when he gets powerplay time on the point--we've seen how often Renney is willing to put a winger there not named Straka (remember how little time Cullen got at point on the PP).

Agreed. I thought he played well for us... except not showing up in the playoffs.. then again.. who did show up in the playoffs in 06?

He didn't play well with us. Petr Sykora always plays well for his first ten games with a new team. You saw a very similar show this year in Edmonton. At the beginning of the season, they thought they had a 40+ goal player. Nope, just the usual 22g, 31a with prime playing time.
He disappears because he won't go to the spots you need to score important goals. He's a regular season player and the Rangers need playoff performers. Pass, pass, pass!

Thats 32-30-62 in 80 Games...
But seeing how he has only been there a few times in his career... those numbers arnt likely... just thought I would point out that his season production this year wasn't a while lot better then a half a year with us... I dont think that a performance like that is considered not playing well.. but that just my opnion....
You are right thou, he fell off the face of the earth mid season in EDM.... and at the end of the season for us....
