Islanders add ?

Teams ahead of the Isles are gearing up for the playoffs. The Isles are coming off two out of a possible four points off the Penguins and preparing to face a likely 1st round opponent. Reality is that this next game should be a pretty good preview of how the Isles and Leafs match up.

What will it take to beat the Leafs (Flyers, Lightning) in the opening round of the playoffs?

Adding scoring is always a bonus, but losing one or two defensemen in the playoffs can spell doom quickly. Adding another experienced defenseman should be a priority.

Wow, like clock-work. Most of the action before the trade deadline is in the East.

+ Flyers added Zhamnov 2/19, Sean Burke 2/10
+ Leafs added Brian Leetch
+ Lightning have not budged yet.
+ Sens added Bondra 2/19
+ Bruins added Gonchar
+ Devils added Kozlov
+ Habs added Kovalev

+ Islanders: Will the return of Yashin and Parrish from injuries be enough?

It'll Have to Be................

Milbury isn't going to do a thing and the Coach is starting to piss me off........

PP was going great until the return of Parrish -
Relying on Yashin to have his "touch"
in time is foolish I do believe he will be effective but not where the team stregnth is right now..............

Hunter - Kvasha - Blake one line many positives but Striling won't use them
Ronning is always used out of place on the PP now (Wrong side)
Just watching us flounder against Pitt and seein Florida start to creep up

We're not locked into the playoffs yet and a new body would revitalize this tired team.

Tired because of the way they have fought through injuries but never-the-less
tired.
