Honestly If he got Cujo at the start of the season... put it this way.. I WOULDN'T WANNA FACE THE RANGERS IN THEPLAYOFFS

I will agree to disagree, without a proper system, no motivation for the big shots, and with too many big attitudes it wouldn't have mattered whether it was CuJo or Dunham. Thanks for the luck though, we'll need it. It's going to be a long hard road ahead from here. It's just nice to know we have finally hit bottom rather than the purgatory of getting high priced old stars to replace other high priced old stars.

Spoken like someone who didn't see a single Ranger game this season.

We need a someone in goal for next year and i hope it is not Dunham. He now has a 2.97 GGA and that is not a staring golie stats. And when he let in 2 goals on 3 shots the other day I lost all hope in him.

Thats been the Ranger average for the last 4 seasons, you really think anyone short of Brodeur or Roy would've done better?

That being said, we will need to get better in goal. Blackie & Lundqvist represent the future in nets, a rental for next year will be needed.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but doesn't going with a youth movement involve actually playing youth? Why would we need a rental for next year when we all know that even if there is a season next year, the Rangers will be nowhere even close to competing for the cup. Wouldn't we be better served by letting Blackburn and Lundqvist get the NHL level experience without the pressure of thinking they must win it all or be failures?

I'm not a fan of playing two rookie goalies every other game, especially one who had to sit a full season because injury, and one who has never played in North America.

Hey, i'm all for the youth, but with those two i think it'll be better for one to play alot of time in Hartford(Lundqvist?) and the other to backup and make every 3 game starts(Blackie).

I thought I had heard that Lundqvist realy does not want to play at the AHL level, but I could be wrong. He wants to either play in the NHL or Europe, and I can't see them having Blackburn at Hartford all year long. How ready is Lundqvist to play at an NHL level? I know we have seen Blackburn play at an NHL level and do pretty well with it, although I do not think he is ready to be a full time starter. I don't see the huge downside to playing the both of them in a platoon type of setup, especially when expectations are not going to be that high for us next year.

blackburn hasn't faced a shot this season so who knows what kind of shape he'll be in when he comes back and we've never even seen lundqvist play vs nhl talent. now i could see one of them making the team but not both. richter had beezer until he was ready and had a veteran backup when he became starter. throwing 2 rookies out vs. this eastern conference could be detrimental to their development.

Blackburn cannot be counted on at this point. You have to question what this is going to do to his development. He is taking an awful long time to come back from injury. He is supposed to hit the ice in June or July and it will be a bonus if comes back and is healthy. What a disappointment...
