WOW, that's great...for what!?!?! Hamilton??? Our 4th line??? I was happy with Smolynski, but I can't see why we signed him when our younger players are ready for the NHL...

I guess if guys (read: Chips) are apparently penciled in to make the jump from Hamilton, someone has gotta replace them and it can't be junior graduate 'X' when you're the defending champs. Looks like a good patch to the Bulldogs' depth.

This is a replacement on the right wing for Mike Johnson...plus he adds some toughness too. If one of the boys from Hamilton can beat this guy out, then great. If not, then this is a good signing for us.
You people keep forgetting, we need grit....and thats what this guy brings us.

Doubtful.

Anyway, this team was in serious need of some sandpaper and that's exactly what this guy will bring.

Pretty good checker... I'd rather have a guy like that as 13th forward then Chipchura or Grabovski. He's 28 he could still get is way in the NHL. He's been quite a good player in the last few year. I dont say he'll be a great player, but you never have enough heart and soul player. Tsn says he's a potencial captain down the line. He wont be at least in Montreal, but if he brings some good attitude and leadership it'll be good.

We'll see at training camp what he can do. A bit surprised, but thats not a bad sign.

I don't think so because he played de last two seasons in the NHL so I can't see him not playing at the same level...

Umm, if (at the end of camp) Kostopoulos is still on the team instead of (insert: recently pimped and proclaimed next Hamilton graduate) the young guy, then I expect the better player got the spot...

God...guys relax. It's a pure depth move....He's not being brought in to anchor the top two lines here...this guy is a fourth liner. If we have a fourth liner that can pop 25-30 points a year with maybe 10 goals..then why not? If a kid beats him out for a roster spot, then good. Why complain about such an insignificant move??
