Pretty good checker... I'd rather have a guy like that as 13th forward then Chipchura or Grabovski. He's 28 he could still get is way in the NHL. He's been quite a good player in the last few year. I dont say he'll be a great player, but you never have enough heart and soul player. Tsn says he's a potencial captain down the line. He wont be at least in Montreal, but if he brings some good attitude and leadership it'll be good.
We'll see at training camp what he can do. A bit surprised, but thats not a bad sign.
My thoughts exactly. He'll likely spend some time in the press box, but with injuries and slumps, I think he'll end up playing in more games than he misses.
Ferland is a slow skater with bad foot speed. I'd be pleseantly surprised if he made the NHL as a regular.
I think his lack of foot speed is exagerrated, he's going to end up in another organization IMO, he'll be given a chance to play his game and he'll turn into a pretty good checker IMO. He's very physical with decent hands, not unlike a Travis Moen type of player.
Either, my point always was that the Habs needed more grit and north-south type of players on their 3rd and 4th line, and that's exactly what Tom K. brings to the table...good move + he can drop the gloves
People want a grinder and now we have it.........Lahti will have a lot of competition
Kosto cannot be worst than Murray or Downey.......
Streit will not play Forward this year....
He shouldn't either...the Habs are setting themselves up pretty good to have some internal competition on defense, on offense and in goal...
That's always good, it's the exact recipe teams like the New England Patriots use (I know, it's NFL, but the logic still applies). You have to create internal competition so that when players leave, you have cheap talent to replace them.
