check this out:

earlier i said we needed a guy like Travis Moen and we have him now.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/statisti...name=nhl-kings

he played 76 games on the Kings and was only -2! That shows he is defensively responsible.

Just the other day we were talking about how we didn't have anyone that would drop the gloves! Great signing, he sounds like a real character guy.

PS: if I hear the term "North-South player" one more time I'm going to snap.
North-South player

It's a decent signing simply for the fact that Kosto will bring some needed grit and toughness to the team. He's like a poor man Chris Neil like someone already said.

Well the rink can be set up so that if you skate north-south you're going back to the bench or to the penalty box

i am coming back of the general board and i have pasta those comments from the peoples that know him better than us ;

-He's a player with an amazing attitude and work ethic. He's willing to go through a wall for a team and he has a pretty decent scoring touch for a grinder. Nice signing.

-Yeah TkO (as we called him here in LA) simply didn't fit into the team's plans this year, and alot of us are sad to see him go. As was stated, he's got huge heart and a hilarious sense of humor to boot.

-He's a great lockeroom guy, great at defense and he stands up for himself and his teammates (drops the gloves) i'll miss him in LA. i wish him all the best in Montreal.

-He was voted, by the players on the team, as the most inspirational player, and the unsung hero of the team last season. Yeah, he's not much more than a 4th line checker(who will stand up for his teammates, kill a penalty, and score the odd goal), but he's a quality guy that is one of those players that will end up scoring a big game winning goal in the 3rd overtime in game 3 of the 2nd round(damn you John LeClair).

Gainey is aiming for character players right now, thats what Smoke and Kosto bring, Hamrlik is a great teacher for defensemen. Markov doesnt talk much and thats the difference.

bwah, another marginal player.... This team is crap, we won't make the playoffs imo, and it's sad. On paper, our team sucks, period.

From what I remember he is a Begin type

Yeah, I like the idea of added muscle that can actually play some hockey.

The only "on paper" that counts is the standings. And season hasn't started yet.

Crap. They've got a buffet going on there? With my luck the lineup is too long right now.

He works every shift and his teammates and the fans like him. Everything he does all the time is for the team.

It is a very good signing. I wish the Kings had room.
Thanks for that, it'll help some of the people on this board *****ing about the signing because they fear the unknown.
