Do you think any of Tampa's 2007 draft pics will be placed with the admirals? I would like to see some good young life be added to the lightnings AHL team. They need all the help they can get. Maybe with a change of arena, and a couple young guns from this years draft will fire them up.

The Lightning website was relaunched 6/17 so the new affiliates are now listed.

Lets say that Egener decides to resign with us, how long do you think it will take him to make the Lightning team? (one more year in AHL?) What is keeping him from being NHL ready? Is it just his injurys, or something else that he needs to perfect? Can anybody give me an update on how hes doing? thanks

Likely they will start in AHL Norfolk, but both will be in training camp, so we'll see how that fourth-line competition goes. Remember, Tampa Bay also has the option of dropping Andreas Karlsson from a slotted third-line wing position to fourth-line center.

Following the plan

Feaster, Stirling and the Norfolk management have said all along that they were looking for some quality free agents to stock Norfolk with after last year's debacle in Springfield.

These two signings along with Milley and Wanvig seems to me to be a part of that plan. Darche had 80 points last year for Worcester.

MacDonald used to be in the flames system. He's a good ahl signing, competent body you can bring up in the case of injury. Could possibly see him making the team out of camp, depending on what tampa's 4th line depth looks like.

Norfolk is Happy, Tampa is wondering

I know that the fans in Tampa are wondering when the Bolts are going to sign a a dman and some other players who are expected to be with the Bolts in Tampa next year.

But as a Norfolk fan, the events of the last two days have made me a very hopeful ADs fan. It does seem that the Bolts are serious about turning their minor league system around. At the time of the affiliation announcement, there were the usual statements about wanting to improve the system and put a winner in Norfolk. And based on the performance of last year's edition in Springfield, we had some doubts. But so far, their actions are dispelling any doubts.

I do hope to see the Bolts sign a proven dman who won't break the bank and if money allows some more scoring. Because I am not advocating ignoring either the big club or the minor league system. I want them all to be successful.

Lukowich also signs with TB. He has been a great player for the Devils and was playing well over 20 min a game for us for a long stretch when the injuries came.

I can skate better then he can. Until he improves that, he wont see much time in the NHL.

You're not lying about that. He just sorta lumbers around the ice.
