Its getting hard now,

Pyatt, Dupont, Immonen (yea he gets no love here, but he would make a lot of NHL teams at this moment on a 3rd or 4th line), Baranka, and Lafleur could all go around now.

Voted Tommy though.

Pyatt & Baranka are 13 and 14 - very simple...then it gets tough.

PS - Good job boys of ignoring Immonen. For all intensive purposes, his value is Marek-ish. IMHO, he will stay in Finland - he could make it somewhere in the NHL but I believe he's truly a B-/C+ prospect at this point.

Are you ignoring him because you don't think he fits with our team anymore? Or on NHL potential, attributes, and chances he will reach his potential?

I don't think Immonen is as bad on the Rangers as everyone thinks. Sure, his speed needs an improvement but as of right now I think he has NHL potential.

I vote Tom Pyatt though.

Les deux ... he's buried on our depth chart and from a fair sample size, I do not like his game. With that said, i could see him playing for a few years with a Coyots or Predator team...8-10 goals as a 3rd line-type - but he can't hold off a Top 10 ranking when we're as loaded as we are...

FYI - My Top 15...

1) Staal
2) Cherepanov
3) Montoya
4) Anisimov
5) Callahan
6) Girardi
7) Korpikoski (have a hunch he's going to have a big year)
8) Pyatt (Rennery favorite...love 'em)
9) Sauer
10) Dubinsky (over-rated on this board, but he'll find a niche)
11) Bourret (I dont see it working)
12) Sanguinetti (Not a big fan)
13) Baranka
14) Dupont (Sleeper to be a future 3rd line center - fulltime)
15) Dawes (Not in NY)

Baranka. Add Liffiton.

One thing that factors against Immonen for the moment is his going back to Finland and for how long? Concievably if he tries North America again it will be with another team and/or he'll be too old to any longer be considered a prospect. So the Rangers may be able to deal him for something but it doesn't seem like he's in their plans at the moment and maybe the feeling is mutual. The signings of Drury and Gomez further complicate any future he may have here. So it's not that I don't think he has the talent--although his skating--particularly his pace could use more tweaking--but I don't think he has a future here. I don't know fly--maybe it's not entirely fair but that's how I see it. On another note I don't think the guy I'm voting for now gets enough respect either but it is a hell of a prospect list.

I am at the least voting Pyatt, Baranka and Lafleur over Immonen since I think they got higher potential in the NHL, while beeing less of "sure things".

I don't think Immonen ever will find a natrual role in the NHL.

He will either play as a 2nd line C in over his head or as a bad fit on a 3rd line.

Immonen. Like FLY said, he could make a lot of NHL teams.

Hoping Sauer plays in Hartford this year.

Add Dylan Reese.

Baranka. Add Kveton. (Did I say Graham last time? Oops - totally forgot that Kveton and Zaborsky were still out there.)

Went with Jarkko.

Other players on here may have higher upsides, but I think I know what we have with Jarkko and that's a third-liner with good offensive ability, who could fill in on someone's second line in a pinch. He'll be a decent player somewhere, and I can't say that positively about any of the other players.

Pyatt is just as safe as Jarkko, IMO, but with just as high (and even higher) upside.

I'll reserve judgment on Pyatt once I see him put together solid seasons at the AHL level. Many "safe" prospects from Juniors founder in the AHL, so it's hard for me to understand how Pyatt is as safe as a guy who has produced well in the A. Agree though, Pyatt has a bit more upside.
