Ray's a tough ol' bird

Ray Scapinello had a tough time doing the lines tonight. Hit in the keister and once in the head. Ol' Ray toughed it out though, he got patched up and went right back out there and finished the game.

Yup, I saw him get hit in the keister. Sucks for the Isles though - they were going to clear the puck on the PK when it went off of him so they had a faceoff in the Isles zone and the Leafs ended up scoring. Ah well, not like it decided the game

I dont know if you know, but the last game Ray did in Detroit, our local TV announcers said this will be Ray's last year. It's gonna be sad to see him go. One of the best linesman the NHL has.

I think he's lasted longer than any of the officials currently in the NHL. That's some longevity for you!
