Shootout stats on the right.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/statis...7&seasontype=2

Briere - 6/14 (nice)
Gagne - 1/6
Hartnell - 0/0
Carter - 0/2
Richards - 0/3
Lupul - 0/2
Umberger - 0/1
Kapanen - 0/1
Upshall - 0/1
Ruzicka - 0/1

Brutal

I'd send Briere first, everytime. It's doubtful Gagne is ever not chosen because he's the team's best goal scorer. After that I'd just rotate the third guy, going with my gut instinct.

I do want to see Hatcher get a chance, just for fun.

During that long shootout against NYR last season, I was dying to see Hatcher pull a Malik with the win

I wouldn't call it brutal.

Half of those guys haven't even gone in a shootout more than once.

I would switch it up depending on who played well during the game.

Maybe ESPN's stats aren't right but you can't say that we didn't absolutely suck in shootouts last year. They have Forsberg as 1/6 which doesn't seem right either.

And then again...

he wasn't good last year... the year before he had a few.

Kapanen has some good skill around the net, i could see him making a move every once in a while... the goal against TB in the playoffs a couple years back anyone?

Gagne needs to develop another move to compliment his backhand move.

How do you figure? Either way it's a no goal.

It could hit the post, bounce out off the goalie's back, and then go in

And if we're playing Boston in a shootout, Upshall better be in there.

Last year's shootouts were a disgrace.

My roomie would come home and say:

"How are the Flyers doing?"

"Shootout."

"Ah, so we lost?"

"Yup."

And if you point out that we still got a point, you're a nerd.

It truly was brutal.

I could have sworn Mike Richards scored a SOG against Calgary. Oh, and according to TSN.ca, Martin Houle was the team leader in GAA at a stellar 30.00.
